Percy's smirk grew even more satisfied to see the familiar little lines of frustration appear on Simon's face - he had learned where they showed up, around his eyes, between his brows - and he thumbed his hair from his face with a slow, triumphant movement. He tittered lightly at the indignant reproach Simon gave him, waving a regal hand and looking around for a place to sit. He eyed the bed with great mistrust before taking what he assumed was the desk chair of Simon's roommate.
He sat, keeping his face neutral because really he should probably be leaving, but...
Well, talking never hurt anyone. His expression twitched, a little, at the question about New York and his eyes averted briefly, flicked to look at the floor for a few moments before he rolled his shoulders in a shrug that was meant to look nonchalant.
"It didn't work out," he said as if it was no big deal, glancing back up again when he was sure his eyes were appropriately unconcerned. "And the theater program here doesn't get enough credit, really, for how good it is." He gestured vaguely with a dip of his chin towards Simon; "What about you? What're you studying?"
