Percy was definitely much better to snuggle up to than his pillow. Sure, the pillow was probably a little softer- what with being made for the purpose of sleeping on, but pillows didn't give him the same tingly sensation Percy did (oh, he was so cheesy hopped up on LSD).
"You and I aren't most people, Perce." Simon stated simply, head nuzzling into the back of the boy's neck, signing out as they both settled into this whole cuddling deal. Biting quietly into his lip in thought and in increasing sobriety, he listened to what must have been the sound of Percy's heart two beats behind his own. The details were just so important to him tonight, for some reason.
He wasn't sober enough to see what was wrong with this, yet, and when Percy murmured out in a hushed tone, his brows furrowed in mild confusion, hand stop where it had trailed to Percy's back and started to trace circles again.
"I don't see why liking it's such a problem." He shrugged, twisted logic still spilling out of him because of those last few blotters that still hadn't gotten the best of him yet.

Percy blew out a small sigh; he couldn't really argue with Simon's reasoning there; they definitely weren't like most people. Their egos, between the two of them, were about the size of a small country. "Still," he mumbled lamely, biting gently on the pad of his thumb like he had when he was frightened as a little boy. They had wandered into unknown territory, and all of Percy's walls were starting to crumble.
"I mean," he added, clearing his throat a little, shoulders bunching like he was considering sitting up, but he seemed to think better of it. He remained curled against Simon's chest, listening to his quick heart beat. "We never really bothered actually getting to know each other."
He sighed, again, and Simon's drug-induced state of innocence and gently shook his head. "Yeah, well, you will once you sober up," he muttered. "If you don't give me hell for it I'm sure you're just going to try pretending that it never happened." A short pause before he explained further: "You do that a lot, you know."

Shifting again so he could look Percy in the eye again, he pressed his forehead to the other boy's, studying him for a long moment before letting his eyes flit closed for a moment and he shrugged. "S'not like we can't get to know each other now." He continued to try and reason. Simon honestly didn't know who he was reasoning with anymore. Sometimes he felt like he were trying to convince himself more than Percy that things were furthering, changing (bettering, even) with them.
"I do a lot of things I'm not particularly proud of when I'm sober, probably more than when I'm high." More word-vomit. Another reason for his cheeks to get pink in the morning and for eye contact to be much harder to make with the boy later on.
Opening his eyes again, nuzzling some more and giving one more of contented breath, "Besides," he mumbled quietly, as if there were others in the room and it was only meant for Percy's ears, "I can pretend it didn't happen all I want. But it did." Whose side was he on anyway? Certainly not his own. At least not the side that his pride was on.

Percy's lips shut together sheepishly under the sudden steady, eye-grabbing stare that Simon was leveling him with. He tucked his chin down towards his sternum, eyelids lowering briefly before he looked back warily into the boy's face. "Well..." For once he couldn't seem to find the right words, struggling to untangle his tongue and find his voice in the face of Simon acting so very... unlike his usual self. "I guess I wasn't expecting you to say that," he mumbled, flustered. He shut his eyes, leaning his head back into the pillow when Simon nuzzled into him more, opening them again when Simon brought up his usual sober behavior.
"You are kind of an asshole," he agreed lazily, smirking a little, his usual sassy murmur returning to his voice. And then he shifted a little and added in something of a softer tone of voice, "And anyway, you could have fooled me. You're usually so smug about it."
He moved his hands from where they'd been resting idly on Simon's chest and ran his fingers gently, almost uncertainly through the boy's hair, thumbs brushing briefly over the other boy's temples.
"Yeah," he said a little distantly. "It did happen." And then, with something like a challenge lurking under the aloof huff of his words: "I won't pretend it didn't happen if you won't."

His pulse was starting to slow, starting to return to normal- to where it didn't sound as if he'd been running a 10k full-speed. Their heartbeats were starting to blend into one another, only a second or two apart from each other now, like one was echoing the other. It practically put Simon to sleep then and there, but the sound of Percy's voice kept him floating in and around a state of wakefulness.
"Oh, sorry." He replied back in a sleepy murmur, not really aware of what he was apologizing for, though it was probably for him being 'kind of an asshole'. "I can't be that bad all of the time, though, right?" He asked after thinking a moment longer about what Percy had said.
When the room threatened to grow colder on him, he sat up to pull the sheets out from under the two and pull them around them both tucking it under his chin as he curled back into Percy. "Mmkay, Perce. No pretending."

Percy was paying close attention to the rapid fire pace of Simon's heart beat, and he was glad when it began to slow down; he seemed to relax, a little, as he listened, his eyes sliding almost shut. He was tired. He'd been up studying way too late for way too long, and it seemed like it was all sneaking up on him now, blindsiding him with sudden violent exhaustion.
"Not all the time," he admitted in a sleepy, distracted mumble, eyelids struggling to keep from falling shut. "Sometimes you can be okay, I guess." His body language was actively contradicting the words he was saying; the reluctance injected into his voice in no way reflected the sleepy cuddling action that was currently going on. Percy would say that it was all Simon, of course, but the simple fact of the matter was that Percy would be full of bullshit.
"Liar," he mumbled, voice barely audible. And then he breathed out and reached up to tug gently on a lock of Simon's hair. "G'night, Simon," he said.

Simon's lips curled up lightly as Percy accused him sleepily of being a liar. He really had no reply for this, mostly because he had no clue how he'd feel about this come tomorrow morning. All he knew was that, right now, he didn't really feel the need to pretend to be anything but happy with the way his arms wrapped more snugly around Percy's middle.
His eyes slid slowly closed, registering Percy's good night faintly and sighing out a "Mm'night." in reply.
He slept rather easily, what with being still slightly hopped up on the LSD. Weird dreams swirled around in his head but never really surfaced, just skimmed past the backs of his lids like pictures in a slideshow. He was calm, though, no ghosts of drug-induced past barreling in. Just stillness, the feeling that something was just complete. And then the sun was suddenly burning into his eyelids, in an unexpected flash.
Lids fluttering open, unaware at first of his surroundings as he usually was after waking up sober. He didn't even see the boy next to him clearly for a moment, and then his mind cleared and he realized. Percy. The boy was still sleeping cozily under his arm.
What the hell had he done last night? Lifting the arm that wasn't over Percy to smooth out his own hair, he looked over the boy another moment before deciding against waking him up.
He instead got up quietly, mind still trying to pull the events of last night back into the clear so he could understand why exactly he was cuddling Percy Yeats in his dorm room. Changing slowly in an attempt to make as little noise as possible he started to put together parts of last night, mostly from later on.
Percy had taken him back to his dorm for some reason. And Jesus Christ, Simon had practically begged him to stay and cuddle. He was glad for Percy still being asleep when his face started to turn an undeniably dark shade of red.

Percy slept well. It wasn't just the black-out, sleep-like-the-dead drunken sort of half-slumber either (which, especially when it came to Simon, was sort of the norm for Percy), it was just a deep, bone-weary, cozy slumber that wrapped him up like a blanket and cocooned him. Warm. Safe. He kept his face tucked in the crook of Simon's neck all night long and actually huffed and mumbled in his sleep when the other boy finally rose, sober, the next morning.
It took him a few moments to fully wake up; for a few moments he just curled up in the warm spot that Simon had vacated, dragging the covers up over his head. But, inevitably, wakefulness came and soon Percy was wide awake and pretty much cowering under the blankets, tense and anxious about how the morning would progress now that Simon had returned to... well, himself.
Eventually he sat up, letting the blanket slip off around his shoulders into a rumpled pile in his lap. He dragged his fingers through his hair, rubbing his eyes with his other hand and looking wordlessly over at Simon.
Of course he had to wake up when Simon was changing. Awkward.
He looked away, pursing his lips briefly, for once not even offering a single word in edgewise. To hell with it, Simon was the one with the explaining to do anyway.

Getting his shirt on in much more of a hurry than necessary when he saw Percy sitting up, he glanced down to the still unzipped pants he's pulled on and got those situated as well. He found himself clearing his throat an awful lot while busying himself around the dorm room quietly. He kept his eyes trained well off of Percy as he tried still to remember a bit more about last night.
It wasn't like him to just...cuddle. What the hell had that LSD been laced with anyway? Scratching the back of his head with a dejected sigh as he turned back to finally glance at Percy, he sat himself down at his desk, chair turned towards the boy still snug in his bed but looking a bit out of sorts himself.
Simon knew he had something to say. He just really didn't know what it was. Words were escaping him- and that was new for the boy. He always had something to say, whether anyone really wanted to hear it or not. But now...just...nothing came to mind, and he rubbed his eyes as if the slight groggy feeling of just having woken up was the cause of it all.
"So, you came to that party at the casino last night, then?" He mused more than asked. But he was still wondering why he hadn't remember seeing Percy until after the drugs had well kicked in. Perhaps the boy'd just arrived to the party late? And in the wrong attire too it seemed.
"Guess three blotters aren't so good in one sitting." He smirked, trying to make light of the situation, although the smirk didn't feel as sincere as it usually managed to be.

Percy considered Simon for a long moment, fisting his hands tightly into the sheets before he looked away, face slack with poorly disguised disappointment. So much for not forgetting, so much for all that stupid, wasted honesty of the night before. He blew out a sigh, looking tiredly back at the other boy when Simon finally summoned up the balls to speak.
"I stopped in, yeah," he said dryly, pushing the covers off and swinging his legs over the side of the bed. "After Tico called me telling me you were about to jump off the roof of a building." He stood up, ruffling his bed-messy hair with slight irritation. He needed a comb, pronto.
He blew out a sigh at the joke, looking utterly unamused, and shrugged his shoulders. He was too emotionally exhausted to be sassy or clever or keep up with Simon's witticisms like he usually did. "Do you remember anything of last night?" he asked flatly, looking at Simon with guarded eyes. "Or do you remember and are you just going to pretend like nothing happened?" He frowned.
"Which is it, I have a test to study for."
