- Become a computer forensics engineer for the CIA before she turns 30.
FEARS :
- Being forgotten
- Never being good enough
- Riding in airplanes
- Being ridiculed
SECRETS :
- Is very religious behind closed doors.
- She’s very sensitive, but pretends to be aloof so she doesn’t get hurt so often.
- Violet strays away from commitment so she can lessen her chances of disappointing someone or someone disappointing her. This problem was mainly derived from her dysfunctional family life.
WEAKNESS :
- She drinks too much whenever the "tough gets going" and usually ends up drunk and unruly. Though, it does take quite a few drinks before the alcohol gets to her. Normally, her first five drinks of the night keeps her stone cold sober, but anything after that tends to be too much for her.
- She tends to take on the responsibility of too much work.
STRENGTHS :
- Observant
- Somewhat diplomatic
OVERALL PERSONALITY :
- Short-tempered She’s not a patient person, and her tolerance can only hold her back for so long. She’ll calmly tell you off and if the debate doesn’t end there, she’ll not-so-calmly tell you off and/or punch you.
- Persuasive and manipulative Violet knows what she wants, and she doesn’t let anything stand in her way of getting her needs. She’ll go to any extent to be successful, and she can be extremely persuasive with her wandering hands.
- Insane With no sturdy sense of morals and reasoning, Violet constantly goes out on a whim and never thinks before she speaks or acts. She’s reckless and uncaring, and that attitude usually gets herself or others hurt. Her problem solving ideas are normally out of the boundaries of “sane” and “rational”.
- Aloof Her mother taught her that showing emotions made a person weak, and that no one could ever like a weak person. Violet always hides behind a smug smile or a sharp retort instead of confronting her problems with emotions.
- Smug Since she’s used to manipulating people to get what she wants, she has a sense that she’s better than a lot of people.
- Persistent Violet fights for what she believes in and she can be annoying persistent until you can finally see things from her point of view.
- Intelligent She’s no Albert Einstein, but she’s smart enough to go far in life. She doesn’t do drugs and she doesn’t purposefully get herself wrapped into situations where she knows she won’t make it out unscathed.
- Stubborn Though she can be persistent with her opinions and viewpoints, Violet is very closed-minded when it comes to other people’s thoughts. She occasionally thinks that she’s the only one who is allowed to have an opinion because she’s, apparently, “always right”.
- Fight or flight Violet always chooses the former, and thinks that violence solves any and every problem. She particularly hates it when men don’t hit women because of some morality crap. Violet would much rather be treated as an equal when it comes to combat and she wouldn’t be the one to spin some sort of guilt trip if a man hit her. Though, this only applies to fair fighting.
SUBJECTS :
- Marine Biology - She has a soft spot for animals, and (along with wanting to be a spaceship pilot) she wanted to be a mermaid when she was a young child. Realizing that was impossible, she decided that sea life still held her interest so she took it upon herself to take this class.
- Computer Science - She mainly took up this subject to dust off her hacking skills she used to posses back in high school.
- Engineering - Violet was one of those kids who wore Star Trek shirts in Elementary School and ran around telling everyone that she wanted to fly spaceships when she was older. Obviously, technology hasn't progressed far enough for her childhood dream to come true, but she still maintained an interest in engineering and making things work.

HOMETOWN : Uzès, France
CURRENT RESIDENCE : Las Vegas
MOTHER'S NAME : Ella Devereaux
FATHER'S NAME : Robert Devereaux
SIBLINGS : None.
OVERALL HISTORY :
Violet's father left shortly after Violet turned six and her mother slept around quite a lot, and more or less neglected her daughter. Her mother did, however, bring in money and food to keep Violet living, but that's to the extent that her love went. Violet had to learn how to cook her own meals from a young age, and she ended up maturing quickly.
She desired to fly spaceships up until she reached the age where she realized technological evolution wasn't that impressive or quick. The idea of becoming an architect crossed her mind, but that phase only lasted for a few days before Violet decided she wasn't interested in the job.
Violet had always been interested in dance, particularly ballet, but her mother was too busy with extracurricular activities to enroll Violet in a proper ballet class. She ended up teaching herself ballet from what she had seen on television and from technical books she read in the library. Violet stuck with her DIY dance training until she was around ten years old, which is when she became interested in math and science. She didn't share that fact with her mother, since Violet doubted her mother would be enthusiastic to know about her aspirations and goals.
Despite her mother's lifestyle, which undoubtedly impacted Violet's lifestyle, her childhood was somewhat dull and uninteresting. She didn't do anything adventurous or daring, and she was a relatively quiet child. Violet learned quickly by her observations and picked up on things like fending for herself in the real world.
Her mother contracted some sort of illness when Violet was fourteen, but her mother refused on using the little money they had to get a proper doctor, so Violet had to take care of her mother by herself. It wasn't so bad of an illness that it required immediate medical attention, but it distracted Violet from her studies and social life, which she admittedly didn't have much of. During her mother's many months of being ill, Violet guessed that that time she spent with her was the most she'd ever seen her mother in a while. She wouldn't exactly call that quality time "pleasant", but her opinion didn't really matter. Once Violet was old enough to be left alone in the house without the fear of her burning it down, her mother started going out earlier and staying out later.
A few months later, her mother got better and Violet went off to college. On the side of her studies, she's a freelancer who does menial tasks for different people in sticky situations, for a price of course. She doesn't consider her childhood to be a "sob story", because she knows of people who have had it worse and, besides, she turned out to be an elegant and respectable young woman.
Right?
FINISHING TOUCHES.
THE SAD ENDING TO A PERFECT BEGINNING.

ROLE PLAY SAMPLE :
Kara stares, her pulse racing as the floor seems to fall away under her. This is so much worse than what she imagined.
The pilots in the shooting range had told her she should check out the brig, Pegasus' one and only pleasurable pass-time. Even remembering the words makes her want to throw up.
And Starbuck, wanting to impress since she was about to be named their new CAG, said cavalierly that she was responsible for interrogating Galactica's first cylon, that she'd taken one down bare-handed on Caprica. And then she shot eight perfect bull's eyes.
As she left, though, Kara's stomach had tightened slowly. She recognized the cruelty in the men, and she couldn't help wondering if she'd find Leoben here. Even after five months, there are nights she dreams of him flying out the airlock, times she still includes him in her prayers. She was afraid she'd find him laying beaten again, this time for no purpose except the enjoyment of men she doesn't know or like.
But this is so much worse.
On the other side of the glass is the cylon, crouched and trembling like an abused animal. As Kara's eyes run over her body, she recognizes her with a jolt. They've left her only barely recognizable. The woman's eyes raise slowly up to hers, and Kara is caught. Beneath the deadness, there is fear. Fear that transports Kara back to Caprica, to a locked room and the sickening knowledge that the cylons were going to use her body for whatever they wanted. They barely touched her compared to this.
The woman's gaze drops away again, but Kara can't look away. Finally she speaks. "Hello." She pauses. "I'm..." Her instinct is to apologize but part of her, the part steeped in military training, knows that in the beginning, this had a purpose. Torture is a tactic. And the cylons violate human women in their farms. She remembers Sue-shawn, hooked into machines, begging for death. It is because of cylons identical to this one that Kara had to whisper her the last rites and kill her.
But in spite of all of that, looking at what has been done to this woman makes her feel sick.
"Lords of Kobol, hear my prayer," Kara whispers.
The woman's eyes flicker to hers in recognition.
She fumbles for the archaic language of the oracles. "As Persephone was allowed to escape her hell, take this your daughter up out of darkness and into light." The words are close enough. "Relieve her suffering and take her soul unto you and give her peace."
A tear eases its way down the cylon's cheek, dropping soundlessly onto the floor, and Kara feels her own eyes suddenly flooding.
(Cut short for tl;dr purposes)
