best mates.
Being Caleb's friend is a good spot to be in (if you're going to try and know him). He will go to the ends of the earth for you, especially if you choose to stick around for him, even when he gets clingy and jealous. Not a lot of people can get past the fact that Caleb will seek you out in the halls, call you up every night, hug you tight for moments too long. The few who do, well, those are some incredibly tolerant folks, and Caleb probably doesn't deserve them.
He looks less on his friends to protect him, though, he feels that's the job of a significant other. All he really needs from these friends is a shoulder to cry on, and a hug or two (or twelve). He's usually the one to initiate any kind of friendship. You could just sit next to him in Biology and he'd chatter away at you until you either decided you were cool with him or wanted to put a muzzle on him.
He's not very judgmental either. He will never base who he talks to off of rumors or looks- at least, he really tries not to. He usually gets stuck hanging around the same group of people, and others look at that and assume he'll stick his nose in the air otherwise. Sometimes, he'll break away from the familiar faces and seek out some new companionship. Not a lot of people just strike up conversation with the random guy from math class, though, which is why, when Caleb does, it's a little unusual.
enemies.
Caleb doesn't really consider himself to have enemies. He does have a whole lot of ex's, though- ex-friends, ex-boy/girlfriends (mostly ex-boyfriends). These people are the people who bailed on, lied to, and used Caleb. He doesn't forgive them, he never will.
He's not vengeful, though. He'd much rather forget the person was even alive than try and get back at them. Caleb's feelings get hurt a lot, but not everyone who hurts them is immediately dropped. It takes a really harsh lie, a bit too much using, and completely bailing to get Caleb off your back. The friendship/relationship may be over to you, but it's going to take a little more convincing for Caleb to see that it's time to move on and away.
Making these "enemies" takes a toll on him too. It's like a brief reminder that you can't just have love all the time. That's all Caleb wants. He and hate, they're barely, and only reluctantly acquainted.
significant others.
Now this is what Caleb devotes most of his life to. He's a sucker for romantic relationships. He fantasizes about it all the time, the perfect man/woman for him. The thing is, Caleb doesn't really know what he wants, other than love. You give him that, and he's sold. He may dream of a specific person cuddling up to him, but you're just as welcome to.
He's had numerous relationships, none of them work out. The main reason is always his co-dependent, jealous nature. People can't take too much of that. He's hovering around you 24/7, holding your hand as you walk down the hall with him, calling you pet names, hugging you and wishing to never let go. It's a lot to deal with.
On the flip-side, he'd take a bullet for the ones he's in love with. He'll do what you ask, he's not uncomfortable with anything, and has proven it on maybe one too many occasions. He writes a lot of music about his relationships as well. So, don't be surprised if your name turns up in one of his songs.
