Annie wasn't sure if she'd ever had anyone but Mason over to her house before. For some reason, she felt a little nervous about it.....like she was going to have things expected of her that she couldn't make happen....but she was going to try to ignore the nerves. After all, she'd been dying to talk to a real life person for a week now.

She was able to get dressed really quickly, finally talk herself into turning off the video she'd been listening to on loop all day, and made her way downstairs to wait. If she'd had a bit more time to prepare, she probably would've attempted to make some cookies from the cookie dough her mom always bought...she guessed if Simon thought it was a good idea, she could bake some while he was there.


Okay, Anne, She thought to herself, watching the window every once and a while as she got down a couple of board games they could play (she wasn't sure how serious he was about that, but her family had some interesting ones, even if a couple of them took forever to set up) He'll be here soon. It's not like your dad's going to try to intrude. Stop panicking.


A bit more setting up took place before she had absolutely nothing better to do but sit and chat online while she attempted to fold a paper crow while waiting for her guest to arrive. Hopefully, this went well. If she could handle this, she would probably be able to handle a party. She just had to get used to guests being there when she was alone before anything that crazy happened.

Simon probably should've been doing his homework. But fuck, he'd been doing homework since four that afternoon. He just needed a break from it- another break from it. He honestly didn't care what he was going to be up to, as long as it had nothing to do with reviewing imaginary numbers for Engineering I. He could not work with one more imaginary number tonight.

So, when Annie'd presented him with her lonely predicament, holed up at her house with nothing to do, he'd taken it as a chance to get out of his dorm. He'd only ever hung around the girl in person a few times, but she was easy to get on with, so he figured they'd find some way to entertain themselves. He packed away his lighter and a few joints as a just in case.

Putting one of his wrist-watches back on so he could have a way of keeping time while over there, he headed out of his dorm and down to the car he was borrowing from his room mate. Hopefully his room mate wasn't planning on going anywhere... because he hadn't exactly asked permission.

Pulling out onto the main road he checked his phone again to verify the address Annie'd sent him.

Driving slow through her neighborhood to read off all the addresses, he finally spotted her house and pulled into the driveway, sliding out of the driver's seat and locking up the silver Cadillac. He drove this thing so much people probably thought it was his.

Leaning up against the door frame he raised a hand knocking a few times, eyeing the doorbell and deciding against it.

Annie had been in the middle of putting on some quiet electronic music for background sound when she heard Simon knock on the door. She grabbed the paper crow she'd folded, putting it in her pocket before running to the door and answering it. "Hey, you made it! I was hoping that my directions weren't too confusing...." She motioned for him to make his way inside, holding the door open.

"I uh. Wasn't really sure what we were going to do.....but I got a few board games out, and there's a wall of movies and music we could choose from." She made her way to the couch after a while, turning off her computer before starting towards where the kitchen was. "Can I get you something to eat or whatever? I was going to make chocolate chip cookies but I wasn't sure if you'd be up for that....

Wow. Having someone over was making her nervous for some reason. "I uh. I'm sorry, I'm really not used to having someone over when no one's here." She laughed a little bit, shaking her head. "I'll stop with the questions soon, I promise."
