The night was unusually silent this Sunday in Sin City, having not heard many cars outside her window for quite sometime now. Of course, the girl did sort of live in the middle of a cactus patch out in the open, hence the name of the complex, but you'd think there would be some life. After all, it was the city of fun.
Perhaps that was why Farren found herself cuddled up in a pair of baggy plaid pajama pants and an oversized tshirt, staring at a computer screen with a large smile on her face. For whatever reason, her boredom had lead her to the school chatroom in which she had started a little flirting with one of her friends Blaine Carter. One thing lead to another, and soon they had two dates, one being tomorrow and one being tonight.
As she began filling up the balloons in her kitchen, carefully tossing them into a basket beside her, her excitement began to turn to nervousness. She had no makeup on, her hair was tossed into a messy fishtail braid on the side, an her clothes were far from her usual feminine dresscode she had set for herself. He said he'd be here soon, so how could she change? Would she scare him off? Or...would he even mind?
Shrugging, the girl decided she would just have to find out, and with that, she picked up the tub and made her way out onto the fire escape, slowly walking up the stairs as to not fall. When she made it up to the roof, she sent a quick text to the doorman and told him to send Blaine up when he arrived. Sitting back, she began tossing a filled balloon back in forth to both entertain herself until her visitor arrived and to keep her mind off the fact that Blaine was about to see her at her worst. Talk about the test of friendship...or was it courtship now?
