Do it for the monsters under your bed Do it for the teenagers and do it for your mom Mason was heading towards the art classroom. Her backpack slung over her shoulder. She had one of her big smiles plastered on her face. Mason loved her fine arts class, it was fun and interesting. Plus one of her friends Joey was in it, made it easy since she had someone to work with.
Pushing back some of her hair, she opened the classroom door walked in and sat down at one of the tables. She placed her sketchbook down on the desk, and soon her backpack was resting next to it.
The young girl allowed her head to rest in her hand. Her elbow propped up on the table, head in hand she stared at the clock, and the door. Waiting for people to come in, and for everything to start. She swung her feet back and forth, causing her skirt to poof out a little bit. This was the hardest part of coming to class early, waiting for people to arrive. "Ugh where are people?" she muttered to herself chewing on a pencil. TAGGED ! Joey.LYRICS ! Loose lips - Kimya DawnsonWORDS ! LolidkOUTFIT ! Outfit CREDIT ! I Can Do It Like A Brother - (Do It Like A Dude) Black sketchbook in hand, and scrawling at the page ferciously with a dull pencil, Joey entered the art room a bit later than he normally did. He had been detained by a portly police officer at 7-11, who was more than sure that he had seen Joey trying to steal doughnuts.
"Haha...wait, what?" He had asked, then explaining to the man in uniform that he despised doughnuts, and had only ran in for a pack of cigarettes.
His pockets had been turned inside out, and the reciept for the Marlbros in his backpack was produced, and Joey was then released from the man's clutches. The minute he was out of sight, he had lit up and began stetching the man's amusing facial hair. Moustaches were his favorite to draw.
Joey glanced up once he was inside the safe haven of the art room, quickly located the blonde girl he was searching for. He walked over to her, sitting down in the open seat to her left.
"Hey Mas," He grinned, putting down his sketchbook and unloading his backpack onto the table. "How's it going?" Do It Low Like You. Tag - Chels/Mason Notes - Sorry dis is shiit. D:

[/img] Do it for the monsters under your bed Do it for the teenagers and do it for your mom She pulled the pencil out of her mouth and looked at Joey smiling. "Hey."she said, she was so used to Joey being in class early. She just had to know what kept him. "What took you so long?"she asked as she pushed back some of her hair.
She placed the pencil down next to her sketch book and turned to face the boy. This was going to be interesting. "How are you by the way?"she asked relaxing.
She started to pull things out of her backpack, as she talked to him. The girl loved hang out and around him. He was like the older brother she always wanted.

I Can Do It Like A Brother - (Do It Like A Dude) Mason was one of his favorite girls to be around, and because of her age, he didn't have a strong desire to flirt with her like crazy and make a fool of himself. With her, he could just be himself..whoever that was.
"Funny story actually," Laughing at her question, he revealed his work-in-progress of the police man and smiled. "Some cop thought I was stealing doughnuts," He slid his hand across the smooth surface of the page. "Sorry I'm so late,"
He flipped to a clean page and began tracing an oval as he talked. Penciling in sprinkles and a layer of frosting. He hated doughnuts, but they were quite entertaining to draw.
"I'm good, you know, for just having been practically strip-searched over a maple bar," He smirked deviliously and reached into his own backpack for colored pencils. The sugary sweet desert needed some color. Pink, for sure, and a soft green and pale blue. Seafoam and sky blue, he chose, coloring in between the grey lines.
"How've you been?" He asked, turning up to her as he asked. Do It Low Like You. Tag - Chels/Mason Notes -Notes here :3

Mason had to laugh at that. Him? steal doughnuts? Not like him, she had offer him one once and he told her how he hated him. "Really a cop thought you stole something?"she asked smiling as she opened her sketch book. She was working on drawing a very life like looking clown fish. Just the coloring was rainbow like, instead of orange, black and white.
"I mean."she said as she started to shade in the fish. "You look like, such a up right moral citizen." she glanced towards him, her eyes smiling letting him know it was all a joke. "I love the picture."she said nodding.
Mason was lucky to have a friend like Joey. He didn't treat her like a kid,but instead like an equal and she loved it when people did that. After all, she was in college. She might be sixteen but she was a big girl now.

I Can Do It Like A Brother - (Do It Like A Dude) He was glad she was one of the few that he didn't have to explain the hatred of doughnuts to; most people looked at him like he was insane when he turned down a chocolate-smeared, M&M covered peice of bread.
"I know right? I'm a law-abiding citzen!" Not. "I would never ste-well, okay, maybe I would, but not a doughnut," He rolled his eyes playfully and snuck a peak at the girl's sketchbook, admiring the realism in her drawing. He was an abstract artist, a cartoonist at best, but his angles were always sharp and crisp and his circles were near perfect when he tried.
"Thanks," Glancing back over to her fish, he added, "I like yours, too." Fish were probably the only animal he could see himself having at anytime in his life. Cats shed, dogs were terrifying, and birds were noisy and stupid. Maybe a beta. They were gorgeous, and he could improve his underwater effects. He just couldn't get more than one male..or they'd eat each other.
Shaking the thought from his head, he made a mental note to visit the pet store as soon as he could, before he spent the money from his paycheck on cheese wiz and pringles.

"yes you are such a model citizen."she said trying not to laugh.....too hard."You're my role model."she said dreamy like, as she looked at him batting her eyes. "Ok that was weird."she confused laughing hard now.
Mason smiled shyly as she caught him looking at her picture. She couldn't help but get shy about her art, around people older than her. They had more practice than she did. "Aw you don't mean that."she said shaking her head. "Fish are hard for me to draw."she said, and it was true. Hedgehogs were a lot easier, maybe because she wanted one so bad.

I Can Do It Like A Brother - (Do It Like A Dude) "Dork," He jabbed verbally, in a teasing way. "I don't know if I should be one of you're role models. I'm a...bad influence, or something." He said, with shrug. It was true enough, he was not exactly a straight A's-perfect attendence-goody-two-shoes kind of guy. Then again, Mason wasn't looking for a perfect role model, from what he'd picked up from her, she wanted to be older and fit with the college crowd sooner rather than later.
"Naw, it's really good. Have you seen my fish?," Of course she hadn't, Joseph didn't draw fish. The closest thing he'd ever come to 'fish' was an octopus that had one eye and fangs. Not too realistic. "It's really good," He assured her with a smile. The girl was a natural. Do It Low Like You. Tag - Chels/Mason Notes - notes here

"Hooligan."she said nudging him slightly after she finished the fish, turning to a new fresh page. She started to think on what to do next. The girl then slowly looked at Joey a smile on her face.
"If anything."she said as she started to do an outline of his profile. Humans were hard for her and she needed to nip how lazy she was with them in the bud. "I should be your role model."
She smiled shaking her head as he mentioned his fish."Yeah but its cute."she said as she continued to draw him.

I Can Do It Like A Brother - (Do It Like A Dude) Mason? His role model? The thought of him becoming more conservative caused him to chuckle out loud. Though, she was right, of course, and in a way, he did look up to the small girl. She was eons smarter than he was, and she had the guts to go to an adult college, in Vegas. Even he had put that off until he was 19.
"Besides, 'cute' won't pay the bills," He said, sadly. Otherwise, he'd be set. His notebooks were filled with exotic creatures with delicate lips and large eyes that were predominately dubbed 'cute' by the girls that happened to glance over his shoulder.
"Whatcha drawing?" He asked, not recognizing the form taking place on her page. Do It Low Like You. Tag - Chels/Mason Notes - Notessss

"Well,"she said. "There is an art site, called Deviantart. Where you can post your art."she looked at him again, as she continued to draw him. "and do commissions and stuff, people pay for art there. Just an idea."she said shrugging.
Mason looked at the picture, and frowned. It did not look good, Mason was just no good when it came to drawing people. She looked at him and sighed."I was trying to draw you."she said showing him the picture."But not it's a blob."

I Can Do It Like A Brother - (Do It Like A Dude) "I've heard of it, but I'd never be able to sell my crappy art. I'm just gonna stick to being a rockstar," He said, with a grin. Joey knew full well that his dashing good-looks and his velvety voice would only get him so far in life, and when his life as a musician ended, he would be already well into the arcitech world. "Plus my computer is barely able to handle chat rooms, much less a real website."
He looked at the blob on her paper, and smiled. Yeah, it sucked, but who was he to judge? All his people looked like anime comic book characters, not the realism he aimed for.
"It's...eh, you'll get the hang of it," Reasuring her, he winked and playfully messed with her hair. Not too badly though, since he knew how girls, (and most guys), were about their hair.

Mason laughed slightly as he mentioned his computer. "I always forget you sing."she said as she glanced down on what she was working on with a sigh. "You gotta sing for me sometime."she said, Mason shrugged. "Or we could go out for karaoke sometime. Then you can hear how tone deaf I am."she said, poking fun at herself.
Mason looked at the blob she was calling art, and then Joey with a raised eyebrow. "You're just saying that to spare my feelings."she said shaking her head as she turned to a fresh new page. "That's sweet of you so thanks."

I Can Do It Like A Brother - (Do It Like A Dude) "I don't like to brag about my beautiful voice. Though I've heard it has been compared to that of an angel's," He said with another grin. Joey did have a little modesty left in him, and while he loved the lifestyle of being in a band, he didn't shove it into other's faces and annoy them to death, unlike many people.
"Karaoke?" He asked with a uncertainty in his voice. "That'd be fun, I suppose, though you'll probably do better than me!" He smiled, remembering his last karaoke adventure, that had ended in a seemingly never-ending chorus of Lady Gaga's Pokerface. But of course, not the whole song. P-p-p-pokerface, p-p-p-pokerfaaaaaace. He had resolved then and there never to karaoke with drinkers ever again.
Another advantage of Mason's age, (he wouldn't admit it, though), was the lack of pressure to drink and do stupid shit. He could honestly have a good time and remain sober the whole night. He secretly cherished these moments.
"No, really, I promise. One day, you'll be the next, eh, Picaso!" He said with an overdramatic flair of his hands and a wide grin.

"Ah so there is still some modesty left in you."she teased gently, as she went to work on a mouse family. It looked so far like something that belonged in a children's story. Seeing as how the mice were dressed in little Victorian outfits. "You do not want to hear me sing." she said shaking her head."I have a horrible voice."
Mason had friends she loved hanging out with, but something about Joey was special. He could treat her like she was her age sometimes, but he also treated her like an adult. She loved that, also how he didn't seem shy about being friendly around her.
"Nah."she said shaking her head. "Maybe I should just stick to animals."she said looking down at her little picture. "I could end up working for authors..."Ok maybe she didn't want to be an artist forever. She also wanted to be a psychologist and work with kids.
