OVERALL PERSONALITY :
- theatrical & talented: percy is, above all things, an actor. theater is his passion, he plans on making acting his trade, and he holds himself as if the whole world were his audience. he is excessively poised; he studies his artform obsessively and, despite only being a sophomore, has already made a name for himself in the theater arts department.
- industrious & ambitious: when percy needs to get something done, the kid gets it done. he is scarily efficient once he's able to set his mind to a task and figure out a game plan. if he needs to study four hours a night every night to get a perfect grade in a tough class, by god, he'll do it. success is ultimately his motivation for everything. he will do whatever needs to be done to get where he wants to go.
- competitive: he hates to be bested at anything, especially something he likes to think he's very good at. there is nothing that gets under percy's skin more than to feel as if he's lost. he does whatever it takes to win, and he has a bad habit of striking up rivalries with other people.
- proud: if percy was to be reincarnated as one of the seven deadly sins, without a doubt he would end up being guilty of pride. he refuses to accept any kind of failure, especially from himself, he refuses to ever admit that he is wrong, he refuses to trust in other people or accept other people's help. what he loathes most in the world is to feel vulnerable or exposed to other people, and he avoids this by hiding behind a thick armor of pride. ps. he is also the king of denial.
- vain: for the most part, percy's vanity is a harmless and even endearing trait. he is always perfectly arranged to look his most charming; he keeps his hair clean, soft and neatly cut and styled, he dresses sharply, every article of clothing washed and ironed, he smells nice, he has a habit of thumbing his hair from his eyes and glancing with methodical calculation into mirrors to make sure he is perfectly put together. he is pretty, and he loves it.
- stubborn/headstrong: percy is indomitably stubborn, which is part of the reason he's able to be such a hard worker; he simply refuses to give up. its hard to shake him off a scent once he's caught on; unless it comes to relationships, which is an exception, percy is no quitter. when there's a will, there's a way, and percy has an iron will.
- insecure & shallow: percy refuses on principle and conceit to have any interest in people he finds plain or unattractive, and he is quick to judge others as a way of soothing some of his own insecurities. he prefers to feel as little as possible for as few people as possible and he tends to panic when he feels his emotional ties to others growing strong.
- dishonest & secretive: he lies. he lies about everything; he covets truths about himself to himself.
- sarcastic & witty: percy's sharp wit and sarcastic sense of humor can be at times infuriating and at other times charming and endearing, depending on how argumentative and difficult he feels the need to be. get a little liquor in him and he can even be flirtatious.
- pragmatic/realistic: percy likes to be all brain and no heart, and he's generally fairly successful and keeping himself grounded. he is not the sort of person to get swept up into waves of emotion - though he has been known to lose his temper rather dramatically at times - and he has excellent practical problem solving skills. it's that pesky heart getting in the way of things that throws him off kilter.

- creative writing: playwriting: although he plans to go into acting, he's using his years in college to branch out and try and study other parts of the theater, including playwriting and directing.

OVERALL HISTORY :
percy was the only child of a marriage that was pretty much doomed to fail from the beginning; his mother, alexa, ended up filing for divorce shortly after percy turned seven years old; his parents had been separated for nearly two years before the marriage was legally annulled. his father was given visitation, but by the time percy was a freshman, he had essentially lost all contact aside from money for child support.
percy was affected by the relationship - or lack there of - that he had with his father, and when his mother remarried when he was nine, he instantly took a dislike to his stepfather. david shatterdy however would eventually manage to worm his way into percy's affections - though even now he still won't admit it - being that he was a strikingly kind and loving person.
within a year his first half-sibling, james, was born. when he was sixteen, his twin step-sisters dora and lindsay followed, and together the six of them make a fairly average family. he has a healthy if someone strained relationship with his family, and since he's moved out to go to college, he has found them to be much more tolerable than when he was living with them in high school.

Ivy watched him in a way that seemed almost as if she were admiring him, head still tilted like she was some kind of inquisitive bird, green eyes wide, pupils huge and velvety black, opened too wide by the cocaine. Her head dipped a little, rolled back to lean against the side of the house, and she wanted badly to edge out from under the protection of the porch to where he was standing under the rain.
But she didn't.
She nodded a little distractedly and smiled in a shy way, except there was that haunted look in her eyes and the skinny lines of her shoulders and the slack corners of her mouth that suggested she was anything but innocent. 'I graduate this year,' she said with a tiny sigh. 'I'm glad. I feel like my life is finally going to start soon.'
She looked at the joint curiously before her eyes drifted back up to his face. 'I always seem to end up in the strangest places,' she commented distractedly, the statement seeming to be directed more to the rain than to Logan. Her focus went in and out, the lightning of static energy fizzling under her skin the only thing keeping her from drifting off completely. Who would have thought that cocaine would save her on a night like tonight.
Another smile when he gave her his name, this one blooming fully, showing slightly crooked teeth peeking from behind her lips. 'Logan,' she repeated to herself, looking into his face for another long moment before directing her gaze to the joint. She reached out, fingers hovering over it for a moment. 'I'm Ivy.' She laughed lightly, under her breath to herself before taking the joint with care and withdrawing her lighter again. 'Thank you,' she murmured around the end before her lighter flicked and she took a drag before passing it back to him, face crumpling in sympathy as she exhaled.
'The wall? Did you hit it? You should bandage it, it's bleeding.'
