It was just like Dorian to dress up on a Friday night in the smallest dress he could find, with the highest heels to match. He smiled at his reflection in the mirror, his silver and black outfit striking against his newly applied fake tan and messily wavy blonde hair. He was happy at his appearance, for once. It took him at least three hours to get ready, but he knew it would be worth it. All eyes on him. His heels clicked as he walked out of his room and out of his house, his driver waiting patiently for him in the car.
Dorian knew not everyone approved of his look, but he didn't care. He knew he looked beautiful in sweatpants, it was the principle of looking like an attractive girl he liked more. Reaching the club he slid carefully out of the car, not wanting to reveal too much! His status was perfect for getting into clubs, he waltzed past the queue of people waiting to get in, smiling sweetly and waving at the glares and mutterings. This was Dorian in his element. Reaching the door he batted his long eyelashes at the security who let him in without question. He knew they watched him go in until his long thin legs were out of their view.
Making his way over to the bar he set his bag down and sat lightly on one of the bar stools. Now the first question of the night, did he buy himself a drink? or wait for someone to buy one for him? It didn't usually take long. Besides, most of the guys thought he was actually a girl, which gave him the ultimate advantage.

Leo Kelly, despite most people's assumptions to the contrary, was not really into the partying scene. He didn't drink, for one thing, and he didn't do drugs, and as far as most hard core club patrons were concerned, he was a bore. This was not, he admitted to himself, entirely undeserved: he couldn't (and didn't want to, most of the time) talk people up, he couldn't charm his way into women's knickers or men's trousers. He had no interest in it, he had no talent for it.
But, occasionally, often by chance or some silly twist of fate, he would end up at such an establishment as this, a club thrumming with life and vitality and provocative music. Generally he kept to the bar, where he was seated now, quietly smoking his cigarette and keeping himself entertained by people watching. He'd probably leave within the hour, decline a few invitations home on his way to the door, and return to his apartment to read up on his most recent psychology assignment.
He tilted his head, cigarette held between thumb and forefinger, smoke pooling from the corner of his mouth, hazel eyes calmly flickering about him. He didn't look entirely out of place, except perhaps for the fact that he was alone; he was tall, and he looked the type: snap-back, baggy jeans, a wife beater. An intricate and extensive tattoo blossomed across what was visible of his chest; his dark hair was cut scruffily short and there were several piercings in both of his ears.
He sighed, leaning back, expression bland and preoccupied until he caught sight of a certain blond strutting his (because there was no disguise that Dorian could put on that Leo couldn't immediately see through) stuff across the floor to the bar. Leo straightened a bit, like a dog at a sudden curious noise, and then he relaxed again, a fond, amused smile curling pleasantly at the corner of his mouth. He looked much less intimidating (scary) when he smiled.
Leo didn't hesitate; he saw where Dorian sat at the bar and he rose from his stool, put out his cigarette in the nearest ash tray, and walked over, hands resting peacefully in his pockets. He sat down beside the blond, leaning forward to try and catch his eye. He expected he would not be received warmly, but Leo didn't mind that.
"Dorian," he greeted, voice low and calm and still carrying that lilt of the gently amused. "Almost didn't recognize you."
Almost (but no cigar). [/size]

Dorian didn't immediately turn around when he heard Leo speak. His back straightened slightly and his legs crossed, trying to pull his dress down his thigh turned out to be harder than he first though.
Hello, Mister Kelly he said icily, turning his head slightly, trying to get the attention of another guy across the room. Who was already making his way over. Dorian, as always, was the center of attention. Almost? I guess I need to work a little harder next time, to make sure you don't. he didn't mean to sound harsh, but Leo acted like a mother around him. Keeping him safe wrapped in bubble wrap. Dorian liked to be free, to do what he liked with whoever he liked. If Leo was like Marcus, then there would be something special.
He smiled sweetly as the man came over - he looked at least twice Dorian's age. He offered to buy Dorian and drink, and of course the thin boy accepted. Please that this guy, whoever he was, believed Dorian was a girl.
Dorian flirted a little, largely ignoring Leo, who was sat next to him. After a while, the other man grew tired of the simple flirting and started hinting to Dorian that he wanted something a little more. Dorian giggled and faked a blush, handing over his number and asking the guy to call him later...in truth, Dorian was only after the free drinks. But the guy didn't want a quick flirt and a phone number. Taking Dorian by the wrist he pulled him off the stool and into his arms. Dorian frowned and tried to pull away, but the guy didn't believe Dorian really wanted to get away. Why would he, when the boy had been flirting away only seconds before. Dorian loved and hated these situations...maybe it was punishment for such a short dress.

Leo looked down at the bar top, smiling lazily at the huffy diva next to him. He rested his chin in the cradle of his palm, elbow against the edge of the bar, and looked into Dorian's face, which was pinched with displeasure at his arrival. Leo knew Dorian didn't dislike him, and he knew his attention was unwanted.
But Dorian had a million boys who were willing to let him be free, to treat him roughly, to love him and leave him and throw him around; Leo figured the boy ought to have a least one person who wasn't so willing to break him.
"Nah," he said, shaking his head just slightly, the deceptively uneducated drawl apparent as always in his voice. "You like nice - " He paused and didn't say anything more as the first hopeful of the night made his way over. There would probably be many more before the evening was through, maybe one would actually get lucky and Dorian would let him take him home. Leo looked at the man with cold eyes, but he didn't interrupt, just turned slightly away and lit another cigarette.
He waited it out, and as he felt Dorian's interest waning, he turned back towards the two, watching the man overstep his boundaries.
Well, that was his cue.
He stood up, unfolding his tall frame and looking with dull distaste at the man gripping Dorian's wrist like he owned him. "I don't think the lady wants to," he said, choosing the word 'lady' with a quirked eyebrow sent in Dorian's direction. "You should let her go."
It felt weird calling Dorian a 'she'. He wrinkled his nose. He didn't like that at all.

The man backed down almost immediately, seeing Leo's size. He cursed under his breath and moved away from Dorian and then finally went back to the other side of the bar. Dorian nursed his wrist slightly as he watched the man go. Not ready to turn and face Leo just yet. He still had bright red cheeks from being called a lady. No one called him a lady, not people that knew. He bit back a smile as he turned to face the other boy.
Thanks, I guess...I mean, I could have handled it...but...umm...do you want a drink? he asked, flustered slightly as he ordered for himself and then waited for Leo to make his choice. He didn't dislike Leo, not even slightly. In fact Dorian found him sweet, but he didn't go for the sweet boys. He like those with a bit of rough and tumble...someone who would take control.
Leo would allow Dorian to walk all over him, in Dorian's opinion, and he didn't want that. Not even slightly.
He smiled as Leo's nose wrinkled. His own fingers reaching up to smooth down the skin as he giggled, Silly boy, you know how I feel about lines on your face, he teased, feeling a little more relaxed than he had been earlier.

Leo watched the man go, eyes at a lazy, contemptuous half-mast. He wasn't jealous by nature, but he could tell a sleeze-ball when he saw one. Dorian deserved better than that even for a one night stand. He turned his attention back to the flustered blond, his gaze softening like they would were he presented with an adorable puppy.
He laughed quietly, the sound lightly amused, and sat back down, leaning his elbows back on the bar and quirking an eyebrow at Dorian. "I know you coulda'," he said simply, shrugging his shoulders. "You c'n raise hell when you feel like it," he continued, and for someone who knew him well, there was the slightest edge of affection to his voice that wasn't usually there. Dorian did bring out the strangest part of Leo.
The almost-scowl that had been on his face was gone the instant Dorian touched him, fading into something more at ease. He hummed lightly, catching one of Dorian's hands and holding it briefly in his own, just to feel it. Dorian's hands were smaller than his, pale and delicate except for the calluses on his fingers from working hard on his designs. People said a lot about Dorian, but no one could deny he was devoted to his work. Leo liked that about him. He released him after a moment.
Then he motioned with his head casually for Dorian to sit beside him and looked thoughtfully at the boy's lovely profile when he did. "Nah," he said, shaking his head. "But I'll buy you one. 's what you came here for, right?" He leaned forward slightly, grinning like a little boy and nudging Dorian with his elbow teasingly. "Let me."

Dorian bit his lip and slowly let it slide through his teeth. Was he going to accept a drink from Leo Kelly? Something he hadn't planned on, that was for sure. He tried to hide a smile as he perched on the bar stool next to the other boy, giggling slightly when he was nudged. Well if you're offering, he began with a perfectly formed smile on his face. His hand slid onto Leo's thigh slightly as he leant over the boy to see what was on offer. In fairness he only wanted Leo to stare are him, but being that close turned out to be not as bad as he expected.
I think I'll have that pink one over there, he said after a moment, maneuvering himself so he was sitting on Leo's knee, his short black dress revealing far too much - but Dorian didn't seem to notice.
So what made you come here? I don't usually see you...you weren't following me, were you? he teased, winking at the other boy. This was how Dorian worked, he got bored of one guy and moved very quickly onto the next. When Dorian got bored of Leo he'd move on again...the only problem was, Leo was far more level-headed than most of the guys Dorian talked to. He always knew what to say to keep the blonde interested. Which infuriated Dorian more than anything.

Leo was pleased when Dorian accepted; he wouldn't have been surprised if the boy hadn't, but nothing about Dorian seemed to really surprise Leo. He had just accepted all of the little vicious idiosyncrasies as part of the package. Of course he noticed one of the soft, pretty hands resting on his thigh, and there was obviously no missing the way Dorian slipped with such effortless grace onto his lap.
He shifted to make the position more comfortable for both of him, resting his hands nonthreateningly on Dorian's waist and his chin on one of the boy's thin shoulders. He enjoyed the closeness with Dorian in a way he did with few people; he wasn't the type of guy who liked physical displays of affection - he didn't really liked to be touched at all. But Dorian was ever the exception.
The bartender went to get Dorian's drink, and Leo wrapped an arm around the blond's waist so he wouldn't be thrown off balance when Leo twisted to get his wallet out of his pocket. He settled them both back down with ease, grinning and shaking his head slightly at the teasing accusation. "Just sorta' ended up here, I guess," he said. "Came with a couple o' friends. He glanced around lazily and then gave a dismissive shrug.
"Dunno' where they all went."

Dorian smiled and waited for his drink, pressing his lips gently to Leo's cheeks as a thank you. Sipping on his drink he leant against Leo's chest, moving the boy's hand down a little. Well, if all your friends have left you, they won't mind me stealing you for the night, Dorian said with a smile on his face. He snuggled himself down in Leo's lap, making sure he was still covered up. But he knew that most of his legs were on show and his dress probably wasn't covering his ass properly. But Leo would protect him he was sure of that.
Finishing his drink he clinked the glass on the bar and smiled politely at the barman as he came and took the glass. Biting his lip he slid off Leo's lap and straightened his dress, his hand slipping into Leo's as he tried to pull the boy off his stool.
Come and dance with me, he begged, tugging on Leo's arm. He stumbled slightly in his heels, but managed to stay upright. He smiles at batted his eyelashes at the boy, as if he really needed to encourage Leo to get closer to him.

Leo sat relaxed and infinitely patient, enjoying the rare moment of intimacy that came from just holding the small, fickle blond sitting daintily on his knee. He wasn't blind to the subtle physical advances Dorian made and he didn't protect, curling his hand around the boy's hip when it was placed there. He had to admit he was amused at how impulsive Dorian was; one moment he was irritated by Leo's very presence, and the next he was kissing his cheek, charming and cheerful and smiling in a way that was beautiful (but Leo found somewhat rigid).
"Doubt they'll even noticed," he replied honestly, making no protest but instead catching one of Dorian's hands and tugging just enough to get the blond's attention, to get him to really look at him. "You say that now, but I won' let ya' dump me later if you change your mind." He raised an eyebrow. "Seein' as we both know you tend ta' do that a bit."
He let Dorian pull him up onto his feet, allowed himself to be led towards the dance floor (and he moved his feet fairly quickly, too, in the instant he saw the in-all-liklihood-tipsy blond's heel tip; he caught him, of course). He wasn't the most animated dancer, but he could keep a beat.

Dorian was grinning when he felt Leo tug on his arm, he smiled as Leo began to speak. Immediately his face dropped and he found himself being dragged onto the dance floor. Wait a second... he began before he realized they were in the middle of the dance floor.
He frowned at Leo, taking both of the boy's hands and pulling him closer. Why do you like me, Leo, if all I ever do is go around 'dumping' guys? he asked, groaning as the music changed to a slower song and all the couples paired off to slow dance together. Perfect timing. Not.
He stepped closer to Leo, making sure that he didn't step on the boy's toes in his heels. He didn't look up at Leo, instead concentrated on watching all the other couples interacting, some swaying, others doing some very bizarre moves. Most of them were kissing, or at least were so close together they were probably sharing the other's carbon dioxide.
I mean, I know I'm hot...and like, everyone wants to get with me at some point...but you never stop. You're always here, whether I want you to be or not. I don't understand, he mumbled, bringing his arms up to wrap around Leo's neck as they danced. Dorian had never felt so self-conscious, Leo tended to bring out that side of him, when they finally had a conversation.

Leo did not seem surprised when Dorian, as usual, backtracked and changed his mind. He led him onto the dance floor anyway, shaking his head gently at the little protest Dorian tried to huff out. "Yer the one who asked," he reminded him, pausing and glancing up towards the flickering strobes lights when the music changed. He was honestly a little relieved; from the practical standpoint, slow dancing was much easier than dancing to club music. A simple sway would suffice.
He couldn't help but smile when he caught Dorian sulking over the change in tempo, but he reached out anyway as the other slid complacently into his arms. Leo thought the little blond fit rather well there.
"Yeah," he replied simply, eyes honest, expression unchanged from its usual placid not-smile. He slid his hans around Dorian's waist, swaying absently to the music.
He knew that whether Dorian realized it or not, he knew how Leo felt; he was in a similar situation, in love with someone who simply refused to return the feeling. You don't just stop loving.
He was silent for a little while - he didn't talk much, Dorian was probably used to that - and then said, "I want you enough that 'm willin' to wait for if you ever change your mind." He mulled over the words after he said them, looking neither embarrassed nor plaintive. It was just truth.

yeah...but why me? What's so special about me? Dorian asked, his hands sliding from Leo's shoulders, down the boy's arms to his hands. Removing Leo's fingers from his waist to his hips. Dorian then moved his arms back to Leo's shoulders and pulled the boy a little closer. Dorian didn't usually feel small, but for some reason, at that moment, he felt tiny.
They swayed a little more until the slow song ended, everyone cheered and the heavy beat was back. Dorian blushed and let his hands drop from Leo once more before he took the boy's hand. What do you wanna do now? Keep dancing? Another drink? Kiss...?
Dorian bit down on his bottom lip, eyes glancing up at the other boy. Thank goodness his foundation covered his blush. God bless make-up. He didn't think Leo had ever seen him without it, maybe that was why Leo liked him so much. Dorian wasn't sure. He still wasn't convinced the other boy's feelings were real, but he ran with it...even if he wasn't sure where it was going.

Once again, Leo considered the question for a moment, seeming in no hurry to rush his answer. He considered Dorian with his thoughtful, dark gaze, ever steady, ever patient, and then he shrugged. "Who knows? What's so special 'bout Marcus?" He brought up the boy's name with surprising ease; there was nothing judgmental in his voice, nothing bitter, even. He curled Dorian's small body in against his chest, happy to hold him close, and continued, "Don't really think you getta' choose when it comes to these sorta' things." He grinned a little, clicking his tongue and saying in a cheerful sort of drawl, "You're jus' you, an' that's all I want."
He looked up with some surprise as the song came to an end; Dorian had stepped away from him, and so Leo didn't move, absently rubbing the pad of his thumb over the soft skin on the back of Dorian's hand.
The blond's suggestion made him laugh quietly, and he reached out, cupping Dorian's face and leaning down to press a warm almost-kiss to the corner of his mouth. "'m not very good at dancing," he explained. "I'll buy you a drink if ya' let me walk you home tonight."

Dorian smiled sweetly at the boy, enclosing his fingers around the hem of Leo's shirt, tugging at the material slightly. He liked Leo, sometimes. When the other boy wasn't being protective and sweet. Dorian didn't do sweet boys...not really. Though he assumed there would always be an exception to that rule.
He looked up, surprised, that Marcus' name had come out of Leo's mouth. It didn't sound right, like Leo was saying his name all wrong. But, of course, that wasn't the case. Dorian shrugged when the question was put to him, not really knowing how to answer, so he left it, pretending it had been a rhetorical question.
Dorian blushed at the slight kiss, turning his head slightly he almost managed to capture Leo's lips properly before the other boy was speaking again. He smiled and looked down at his heels at Leo's suggestion, what harm was there?
Well, I have plenty of stuff at my house...we could just go there? It'd be cheaper... he offered, holding onto Leo's hand. What would he be getting himself into? He knew Leo wouldn't ever put him in a compromising position - which was a shame. Maybe if Dorian started something the other boy would follow. We can curl up in bed and watch a movie or something?
