Tiffany had finally finished unpacking everything from her dorm room, when she saw that she hadn't packed all her clothes from home, and from what she had seen around, most of her clothes were out of style. Tiffany was always bad with money, wasting it on little things, especially clothes. She was smart enough to only pack one suitcase full of clothes, because her entire wardrobe with fill at least 4 of them. Tiffany's parents spoiled her beyond belief, so money wasn't a problem, but they were a little harsh, only giving her a limited amount of spending money, saying "Oh, Tiffany, you're a grown woman now, be smart. Get a job." Getting a job was a different problem, maybe she could pick up an application at a store at the mall, which she had planned on going for a while now.
She decided that now would be a good time to go. Maybe she'd see some new people, maybe some nice people, where she didn't have the rep of "Ms. Bible Thumper." Gosh, she hated when people called her that. She grabbed her purse and slipped on her flats, heading out of the dorms, onto the parking lot and into her car, which was searing hot from the sun. She cranked up the air conditioner as she sped out to the mall to finally have some fun with her parent's money.
When Tiffany arrived at the mall, she was overwhelmed. She hadn't been to a mall since the beginning of her senior year in high school. She hitched her purse up on her shoulders, looking for a directory. When she arrived at the directory, she bent over slightly, looking at all the stores, searching for women's clothing. Aerie. Aeropostle. Aardvark. Adidas.. She decided she would go looking in Aeropostle first, which was only 4 stores down. Tiffany glided into Aeropostle, noticing a sale on jeans. She picked up a pair, admiring the butt pockets, wishing she had a butt big enough to fill it out.
notes: omg, tree. i'm so sorry. this sucks ballz, man. hey, here's the outfit , if you wanna know.

'Ohmygawd, no way! No way!' Giggles and talk about the random guys that passed floated to her ears, causing her to frown slightly. Why couldn't they talk about something else, for once? Anything besides boys and skin tones. Sairah had come to the mall with a large group of people, girls mostly, and had just escaped them with pleas of 'Oh, I have to go in here, for my, uh, mother', even though she had been raised by her father single-handedly, and hadn't had a woman in the household since she was very young. Her father, who was a worthless drunk, hadn't even filled the shoes of 'Dad', much less anything she needed from a 'Mom'.
But they didn't know that. And there was no way in hell that the plastic bimbos Sairah was migrating with would be seen in a candle shop. So now she was alone in the mall, and in a candle shop, of all places. God, this place smelled so strongly. Sairah ducked out of the store, getting an approving look from the young guy she almost ran over in her desperate bid for freedom from the stuffy air.
The nearest store that had neon colors and thin mannequins, an Aeropostle, as it happened, would shelter her until she felt like her group would stop wondering where she was. Which wouldn't be too long, she knew. Something about bottle-blondes made them extremely susceptible to short attention spans. She twisted around the racks and found a spot where she couldn't been seen by people passing by, and in the process, bumped into another girl.
"Ohmygoodness, I'm so sorry," She gushed to the girl.
NOTES: Shit, sowwee D:

Tiffany was feeling the fabric of the next pair of jeans and looking at the price tag, feeling confused because obviously it was on the sales rack. Last time she had checked 30 dollars was not a steal, which was what the huge sign had said. Tiffany was just about to flag down an employee when someone bumped into her, causing her to drop the jeans in her hand. "Hey--" Tiffany started to protest, but the girl apologized quickly before she could say anything.
The girl kept glancing at the window, hiding behind the clearance rack. Tiffany looked out the window she kept looking over at, and saw nothing threatening. She looked back over to the girl. "Hiding from something?" Tiffany picked up the jeans that dropped on the floor, wiping off the dust on the leg and draping it over her forearm, hoping to talk to an employee about the crazy price tag. Tiffany turned back around to the rack the girl was hiding behind, looking at a cute tank top.

The girl had started to cry out, but Sairah assumed she must look pretty pitiful, since she had stopped her objection quite quickly, then asking her if she was hiding. No, of course not. Crouching behind a rack was her idea of a game. A favorite pastime of hers. It was all the rage with her friends, better than planking, even. Sarcasm aside, it was a legitimate question.
"Is it that obvious?" Sairah breathed out a sigh, and reached up to push back her bangs. She knew she wasn't very slick at this 'hiding' thing, but then again, she'd never hid from someone with more than two brain cells. She moved out from behind the clothes, and picked up an identical top to the one the other girl held.
"They have the same shirt for five bucks at Old Navy," She said, dropping it, after a glance at the price tag. Money was not something she threw around carelessly, and most of the time, she was found scouting out thrift stores and Salvation Armies for gently used name brands, rather than buying them new for ten times the price.
NOTES: This took forever. Sorry I'm such a muse-less child -hangs head in shame-

Tiffany watched the girl stand up and fix her hair. "Well, yeah. It's kind of obvious. What are you hiding from?" Tiffany looked at the price tag on the tank top, sucking her teeth. Stupid lying rack. The girl blurted out that the exact shirt was cheaper at Old Navy. Well, of course it was cheaper there. They have cheap fabric.
"I think I bought some jeans there once, they fell apart within 3 months." Tiffany shoved the tank top back on the rack, looking at it again. It was pretty cute, and she wouldn't mind paying 5 dollars instead of 20. "Do they really have it there?" Tiffany placed her hand on her hip, cocking her head to the side, looking at the girl.
notes: I have no muse as well! Fuuu-. We'll get our muse back sooner or later

"Just...some people," She replied, breathing out in destain. Plastic...stupid...Her mind read off a list of adjectives she had made to describe the girls that she associated herself with. She shrugged, slightly, and wrung her hands nervously. "It's not anything important," Sairah added, grinning. "I'm Sairah, by the way. You go to Winchester, too, right? I think I've seen you around campus before," The other girl did look familiar, but Sairah couldn't place where exactly from she was remembering the brunette from.
"I know what you mean, their material is shoddy, but I'd rather buy it for ten times less now, then having to save my money and buy it later," Her voice was quiet, and almost incomprehensible, since she wasn't one to talk about money, or her lack of, to the whole world.
Notes: Bro, seriously. Have Tiffany pull a fire alarm or something. We need to spice this shiiiiiit up. Kaythxbye.

Tiffany sent a smile back when the girl explained that the people she was hiding from didn't matter. She replied almost immediately, gripping the same tank top, admiring it again from the rack. "Hi, Sairah. I'm Tiffany. And, yeah. I'm kind of new." Tiffany ran her fingers through a piece of hair in her face. Tiffany looked at the price again. She had the money, she just wasn't sure if it would be worth it. She already had dozens of tank tops from this store alone. "That's weird. I don't recognize you.."
"Right? Totally cheap. I know what you mean, though. I'm all for saving money, maybe I'll give the store a chance." She bit her bottom lip as she let go of the tank top of better quality fabric. "Farewell, expensive tank top." Tiffany pushed her bangs back, looking over at Sairah again. "Could you direct me to Old Navy? I have no clue where anything is. The only reason I picked this store was because it was the first thing I saw when I came in. Tiffany adjusted her bag on her shoulder, getting ready to leave.
notes: but that's sooo not Tiff though. Sairah should do it instead.
