Freude had woken early that morning, even if it was a Saturday. He had untangled himself from his sheets, showered in dressed almost in silence. He was so deep in thought he didn't realize he had spent the last ten minutes trying to put his boxers on over his pants. Rolling his eyes he corrected his mistake, pulled on his shoes and silently left his dorm, only to cross the corridor and knock gently on Caleb's. Icarus opened the door with a smile, handing over a red leash and a very excited puppy who was struggling to keep quiet. Freude leant against the door frame for a moment, watching his boyfriend sleeping. Curled up in his blankets. Adorable. Icarus stepped back and Freude walked in, gently pressing his lips to the sleeping boy's forehead. I love you sleepy head he whispered, pulling the blanket over the other boy a little more.

Grabbing the puppy around the middle he left the room and walked quietly out of the building, trying to avoid any of the staff members who were intent on finding out where the howling puppy was living. They had kept Copper under their radar for now, but as the puppy grew, Freude knew it would be difficult to keep it hidden. And it wasn't fair on Icarus, keeping the dog there.

Putting the animal on the floor, Freude un-clipped the leash and made his way towards the park, the puppy following obediently behind him. Despite the struggles the two boys had had training Copper, Freude had just about managed the basics - Copper spent more time playing with Caleb than listening to him. He whistled at the puppy, who has stopped to sniff something and the puppy ran as fast as it's little legs would carry him towards Freude. There's a good boy, Freude praised, picking the puppy up and placing it on his shoulders, he continued to walk towards the park. The puppy settled down, sitting comfortable on Freude's shoulder as he finally made it. In seconds Freude was surrounded by more girls that he'd ever been in his life. Awww he's so cute! could be heard around him as Freude struggled to get past. Errr, yeah...we have to go, Freude tried to explain, darting under the arms that were trying to pet the little dog.

He managed it, just as Copper decided he didn't like being petted anymore. Smiling he sat down on a bench, the dog jumping neatly off his shoulders and running around the grass. Freude watched him for a moment before pulling out his phone. He chuckled lightly as his wallpaper, Caleb nibbling on a cookie, of course.

Come out and play with me? Your two favourite boys are missing you<3 We're in the park x

He sent the text message and leant back on the bench, patiently waiting while the puppy decided he was going to make new friends with everyone he met.

I needed Freude to be cute for once in his life...notes

[CALEB DARLING]

Caleb always dreamed about Freude. Well, always meaning since the two had gotten to that point in their relationship where the boy was just sure that Freude was 'the one'. Never mind all of the others he'd had that same feeling about. He'd just been silly then. Freude was the real-deal. The whole package (excluding the details that aren't for children's eyes or ears).

So, really, his dream tonight wasn't a surprise. The boy's dreams were simple, probably because- despite his mathematical talents- he was, otherwise, kind of simple-minded. The dreams usually had three main components. Disney songs, Freude, and lots and lots of cookies. Tonight, the Disney song dominating the dream was none other than 'Part of Your World.

Around the time the song came to the second verse, he started feeling vibrations.

Ew. No. Not those kind.

It was his phone, which always ended up somewhere under all of his sheets. Blinking into wakefulness, and sitting up slowly, he glanced to the table-side clock to check the time. 10:23, later than he'd originally planned to wake up, but he didn't have classes today. Resuming searching his sheets thoroughly for the whereabouts of the still vibrating phone, he picked it out of the tiny sliver of sheet it was tucked into at the very end of the bed.

His face immediately lit up like a thousand watt bulb when that name flashed across the screen. "Freeeuuude." He squealed and read over the text, smile growing broader, although it would seem impossible for it to do so. Hopping up and out of the bed quickly, tripping a bit on the sheets that he pulled off the bed with him, he scurried over to his dresser, piecing together clothing and pulling it on.

Waving to Icarus as he shut the door swiftly behind him, he took the three flights of stairs down to the exit, realizing upon reaching the landing that he could've taken the elevator. Shrugging that off, he stopped inside the student store in the building and bought himself a banana nut muffin, pausing when he was about to pay as he wondered if Freude had eaten yet. "Can I have a double chocolate chip muffin too?" He asked the lady glaring at him holding up the line. As she handed him the muffin, he traded her the five extra bucks and skipped back out of the shop.

I'm on my wayyy.<33 Caleb sent the text even as he was hurrying across campus towards the park. He was already sure he'd spotted Freude as he'd neared the stretch of green and trees.

Coming up behind the boy on the bench and pulling his hands over his eyes he chimed out through a mouthful of banana nut muffin, "Guess whooooo." Giggling to himself like this was the greatest joke there ever was.

Freude smiled at the reply from Caleb, chuckling lightly as he pocketed his phone. Calling the puppy over he waited for Copper to settle next to him on the bench, his paws against Freude's leg. Freude smiled and ticked the puppy behind it's ears, looking out at the people in the park around him when suddenly everything was plunged into darkness.

Freude smiled and put his hands on Caleb's, pulling the boy forward and kissing his cheek. The most beautiful boy on the whole planet, obviously, he said, leading Caleb around the bench and on to his lap so he could wrap his arms around the boy. Copper just about scrambled away in time and neatly leapt onto Caleb's lap once they boy had got comfortable.

Nuzzling his nose into the boy's neck, Freude looked up and smirked, licking the corner of Caleb's mouth, Mmm, muffin he said, pretending the few crumbs had been the best meal of his life. Holding Caleb against him he rested his chin on the boy's shoulder, a hand snaking up under the other's vibrant pink shirt. Chuckling, he pulled Caleb down for a proper kiss before getting to his feet, the smaller boy still in his arms. C'mon Copper, he called to the puppy as he carried Caleb like a baby to the edge of the pond that sat neatly in the middle of the park.

I wonder what would happen if I just threw you in, he smirked, pretending to drop Caleb.

[CALEB DARLING]

Caleb blushed brightly at Freude's compliment, biting into his lip as he smiled back to the boy, settling comfortably on his lap and running a hand over Copper's fur. "Hi Freude." He said smilingly as he felt him nuzzling his nose into his neck. Blush returning quickly to his cheeks when Freude got the crumbs from off his mouth he fumbled with the other muffin that he'd gotten for Freude.

"I got you one too. In case you hadn't eaten." He told the boy, holding it up for him, thoughts momentarily cut-off when Freude gave him a proper kiss. Squeaking slightly when Freude picked him up fully he pulled his arms quickly around the boy's neck, laughing lightly and burying his face in Freude's neck, looking up again when they got to the edge of the pond.

Gasping slightly and holding tighter to Freude he whined up to him,

"That wouldn't be a very good ideaaa." He informed Freude, giggling a little at Copper hopping around at the boy's heels. "You want your muffin?" Caleb smiled again, pulling one arm from around Freude's neck and waving it in front of Freude's face lightly. "You can only have it if I remain out of the pond." He chuckled, tapping Freude lightly on the nose.

Freude paused for a moment, Caleb still bundled in his arms. He eyes the muffin, pretending to debate whether to actually dunk Caleb in the water or not. He sighed and slid Caleb down to the floor. I guess I better pick the chocolate, he muttered, pretending to sulk at the fact he couldn't dunk his boyfriend in the water.

Slipping an arm around Caleb's waist he took the muffin from the boy and kissed him on the cheek, Thanks Cookie, he smiled taking a bite and wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. Walking back to the bench he had been sitting on he almost tripped over the puppy who had decided to pull at his laces.

Fuck, he laughed, trying to avoid stepping on the small dog as it bounded back to the bench. I have something for you, too Freude grinned reaching into his pocked and pulling out a small silver key attached to a plastic cookie key ring. I bought an apartment, you can move in as soon as you like.
