Bridgette had grown exceptionally uninterested in the malls of Vegas after a few weeks of being here. Of course, they were nice, but when you've grown up in New York, you sort of gain a certain high expectation of shopping stores, and unfortunately, the ones in Las Vegas were no where near making the cut. Maybe it was the lacking of the glow on the children's faces that you saw during this particular season as they passed the toy store. After all, this city wasn't exactly child friendly, and the toy stores around here were, to put it nicely, subpar.
No, that wasn't her problem with the malls here. Her biggest problem was when the Holliday season began creeping up just as it was doing now, she wouldn't get to go shopping for winter coats. That was Bridgette's favorite part of winter, the fashion. The gloves, the colorful pea coats, the scarves Oh the scarves. Since the weather wasn't acceptable to do her annual coat-buying, She' taken to scarves after Mitchie inteoduced them to her, of course, adopting his hobby for collecting them this year so she wouldn't have to keep stealing them.
That was what she was doing at the large shopping center today, actually, heading up to the H&M to check out their collection of scarves. Walking into the store, her eyes fell on a rack of colorful cloth, and immediately, she was floating towards it. Oh dear, there's a sale...It's my lucky day! Reaching for one, her hand landed on some other person's as it was snatched off the rack. Letting out a gasp, she uttered sort of angrily "Um, I was getting that one, thanks." she said before looking up to see a familiar blonde holding the scarf she had wanted. Oh dear god. "Dorian...What a pleasant surprise." Bridgette hissed as if disgusted with his mere presence.

Dorian smiled, pressing his nose against the crook of Joey's neck as the boy slept. He couldn't believe that they had been together for a week - and they'd only had one little tiff, over Marcus beating up the other boy. But they had survived it and Dorian was going to always do his best to make sure Joey was happy, and safe. Especially safe. Slipping out of bed he perched himself on the mattress, pulling his underwear up his thin legs and dressing himself in silence. He didn't want Joey to wake up, not after having a such a long night. Dorian blushed slightly at the memory and inspected the damage on his neck and hips. Nothing a little foundation couldn't cover up.
Once he was ready he pulled his hair up into a lose bun, grabbed a thin jacket and head out of the door. George had offered to drive, but Dorian wanted to do it himself - he didn't get enough chances at it. Not that he was a spectacular driver, but he wasn't terrible. Parking in the closest space to the door he slid gracefully from the driver seat - almost forgetting to lock the vehicle; having George around to do it for him most of the time.
He was only at the shopping centre to get ideas for his new designs. He didn't actually buy anything - unless there was something really spectacular. His heels clicked across the shiny floor, as he walked through the mall, glancing at the odd garment, making comments in his notebook. Until he reached H&M. A sale, sweet.
He entered the shop, smiling softly at the shop assistant who was about to ask of Dorian needed any help - why did they do that? The moment you entered the shop. Dorian headed over to the scarves, starting with the smaller items rather than the larger ones. He would get to sweaters and shirts later. Reaching forward he pulled the scarf off the display and held it for a moment, letting the fabric slip through his fingers. Until he realised someone was talking to him.
Oh sorry, looks like you were too slow, he said simply, not looking at the person he was talking to until she said his name. He turned to see where the voice had come from to see another blonde looking back at him. Bridgette. Dorian pursed his lips together, looking her up and down. He couldn't see why Joey liked her, he really couldn't - except maybe that they shared the same coloured hair.
Clearly. Nice to see you too, Bridgette. he replied, placing the scarf back on the shelf - clearly a little disgusted that he had the same taste as her. Enjoying the sale? he asked, not really interested - but he had this horrible feeling that if he didn't at least attempt to be friends - urgh - then Joey would have an excuse to remind Dorian that he wasn't as perfect as he pretended to be.

Bridgette was not in the mood for this, meeting up with the boyfriend of a friend. First of all, she was rather upset with him, Dorian being the main reason Joey ditched her all the time. It wasn't like there was anything going on with Joey and Bridgette. She wasn't jealous. No, she was just angry about not getting her stage creating time. That was it right?
No, that wasn't it. Dorian was evil, almost as evil as she was, and for that reason they butted heads. Countless amounts of time were spent going back and forth on the school chat, duking it out with certain insults. She had never seen someone so...On her level before. It cut her down to the core some nights. Curse you, Dorian.
Eyeing him as she again snatched the scarf just in time, she gripped the fabric with one hand and lifted the other to check her perfect nails: the perfect nonchalant move. "Well, I enjoy taking my time. You wouldn't know much about that would you?" she said, using sort of a secret snub towards him. You know, because you insist on jumping into bed with every boy in school she finished to herself. She wasn't about to get into that argument unless he brought it up.
Looking up towards Dorian, the curly headed blonde gave him a cheeky little smirk, as if begging to be slapped, and soon after nodded. "Oh, I'm adoring it thank you. How about you?" she said, flipping through the scarves once more before turning back to the boy. Let's see how long this nice game lasts.

Oh? You take your time? I just thought you were a frigid bitch. Dorian said in a disgustingly cheerful voice, glancing down at his shirt and smoothing it out with his well manicured nails. If she wasn't prepared to be civil and hold her horrendous tongue then neither would he - and Dorian could give as good as anyone else. Sliding his Alexander McQueen bag over his shoulder - making sure she had seen it - he pretended to be flicking through the other scarves, mildly interested in the colour use, the texture and the size. But overall he couldn't have cared less.
At least now he could go home to Joey, curl up under the blankets and complain about how Bridgette had been unjustly rude to him and how Joey should stay away from the girl. He wouldn't do that, but the thought made him smile. He turned to her, raising an eyebrow slightly at her next comment, shaking his head - unbelievable.
Delightful, though H&M has always be a bit common for my taste. he said pretending that he hadn't just insulted her. Still, he added, looking her outfit over with a glance, if you're enjoying yourself, that's all that matters. Right?

At the sound of being called a frigid bitch, Bridgette's hands clutched the scarf tightly in her hands, her teeth clenching as if not wanting to say anything she would regret. She had just told someone she was above all of that, and she couldn't go back on her word. This way, she could seem like the victim. "Oh, Joey, your boyfriend called me a bitch! I'm so upset!" Of course, she would make it a big extravagant thing, and with luck, people would see what Dorian really was. If Dorian didn't do it first, that is. Which she could already tell he was thinking about it.
Releasing her grip soon after, as if trying to hide how angry she was, Bridgette merely shrugged in response. "Now, now, Dor, let's not make assumptions. But, um., what's that child saying? Ah, is it 'takes one to know one'?" she said as calm as though they were conversing about the weather. God, didn't he have some place to be? Dorian was cramping her style with that terribly gaudy bag of his.
She was almost about to just walk out of there. The conversation was getting rather yawn-worthy, and she had other shops to browse. But then he questioned her fashion sense? Oh hell no. Gritting her teeth again, she managed a fake smile and after a moment, she opened her mouth to speak. "That's funny, considering you're in here just as I am."

I'm a frigid bitch? Dorian smirked, shaking his head, brushing some of his blonde hair from his face. You only need to talk to Joey to find that isn't true, he said with a sickly sweet smile. Was this really happening? Was she trying to get one up on him? Please, not a chance. He looked her outfit over and raised his eyebrows as if to say, 'did you really go out in that?'
He shook his head, leaning forward on the stand, looking at her scrutinisingly. Yes, but the difference between us is, I won't buy anything. This is all you can afford. Standing up straight he moved around the scarves not really paying her too much attention.
After a moment of 'browsing' he looked up at her, Look, I don't know what your problem is. But just, stay away from Joey. Alright? He doesn't even like theatre, he's only helping you because you're a sappy wimp and he's too nice for his own good. But he is mine. And you are not going to change that, understand?

Mister Dorian here was just full of snide remarks it seemed, and frankly, Bridgette wasn't having it. How dare he try to get her to stop talking to Joey. Of course, there was nothing really going on between Joey and her, despite their bonding over this upcoming show, but that would be over in time, and they'd probably never speak again. What was Dorian seeing that she wasn't? Really, that didn't matter. The fact of the matter was that Dorian was peeved by their friendship, and if that was what he wanted to believe, then hey, she didn't mind. Anything to piss the poor blonde off.
Giving a light chuckle as he let her know Joseph was 'his' and that she was to keep her distance, she patted the boy on the head with a smug smile on her face before saying, "Aw, Dorian, do you think I'm going to steal him away from you, dear? I thought you had more self-esteem than that, dear. I guess you learn something every day." she said, casually walking to the next table of scarves. "I'll have you know that I will do whatever I so please, mr. Moore, whether you like it or not. Joey obviously likes being around me, and not just for theater, for we do go out on some occasions just for kicks; coffee and the like...I'm sure he kept that a little secret from you though. You're obviously a jealous soul. You shouldn't be though. I have no desire to steal your boyfriend. I'm much too classy for that." she continued, still calm and collected, though inside she was about to come unglued.
At that next comment though, the blonde had had it with the other. He could comment on her attitude. But he COULD NOT question her clothing and her economic status. That was the last straw. Biting the tip of her tongue to keep from snapping, she turned back towards Dorian, a look of "oh no he just didn't" resting upon her fair face, and said "Excuse me? I'm very well off, thank you. You might want to hold that tongue of yours, Dory. Wouldn't want Joey to get the wrong impression. After all you did say he doesn't think you're a bitch...though that sounded rather bitchy....if you don't mind me saying." she said, adjusting her blouse self-consciously afterwards. She'd have to get an opinion from Mitchie whether her outfit was cute or not. After all, he knew best, Not this guy.
