OVERALL PERSONALITY :

• There are two types of Southern people. You've got the belles and the spitfires, and Brooke here would definitely be a spitfire. Being raised in a house full of boys, she isn't one to act like a little princess. She's got her daddy's stubbornness, and if she catches hold of something she believes in, she isn't going to let go until she gets her point across. Also due to being raised in a family of men, she's extremely athletic and competitive, and she's a firm believer in doing your best no matter what. That "Lets pretend I don't know anything so a boy can teach me" is complete and utter bull. On top of that, she's not softspoken at all. She will scream, and cuss, and throw things if she's mad. She isn't going to hide her feelings one bit. However, on the other side of the coin, when it comes to the people she loves and cares about, she puts 110% into them, and she is as nice as can be. For example, she's a completely different person around children. She isn't rough or cross at all to them, and that's what makes her a great teacher. She has the sweet side, but if someone gets out of line, they know Brooke'll put the fear of God himself into them. That's Brooke for you though, a little piece of hell with heaven on top. (:

OVERALL HISTORY :

Brooklyn Grace Cade grew up in a town down by the Mississippi Delta. Of course, when you hear about this part of America, you often hear its residents talking about how “you either love it, or you hate it.” Brooklyn, in this case, loved it. She was raised in a big family, growing up with four brothers, all older than her. I guess you could say she was a bit of a tomboy. You sort of had to be in a house like that. Her mother wasn’t around much, having moved on with her life after a few months of having Brooklyn. Rumor has it she went off with some city boy from New York, him having been in Biloxi on business from time to time. Another rumor has it that this mystery man was the inspiration for her name: Brooklyn Grace.

As a child, Brooke grew up spending a lot of time in sports, especially volleyball. Most of the girls in her class were taking cheerleading and things of that nature, but Brooke’s dad was bound and determined that he was NOT under any circumstances going to sit through an hour of cheer practice when he could be watching the game. So, he put her in more competitive, rigorous activities: basketball, softball, and her favorite, as stated before, Volleyball. Of course, all her brothers played baseball and football. I guess you could say their family was the all-star family of their county.

Up until her sophomore year in high school, she was set on getting a scholarship to Ole Miss and becoming a part of their college team for Volleyball. There, she would study something meaningless just to get by enough until she got drafted to a professional team. However, an unexpected injury at fifteen caused her to drop out of Volleyball and all other sports for good, ending her dreams of becoming a professional athlete. It wasn’t until her first job that she found her love for children, volunteering at a local daycare. After two years of doing that, she graduated, moved up north to Oxford, Mississippi and attended Ole Miss to get her education degree.

After graduating from there, she got her first job teaching kindergarten at a small school back in her hometown. For a year, she worked happily, however something tragic happened. A large budget cut eliminated kindergarten from the curriculum for students, and she went without a job. That summer, she spent a lot of time just praying, hoping another door would open for her. And sure enough, she was told by a fellow teacher who also got laid off that she had heard from one of her family members in Vegas that there was an opening for a professing job.

Brooklyn was skeptical about leaving everything she had ever known, but after a few weeks of listing the pros and cons of everything, she packed her bags and headed west to take the job as a professor. Is she happy? Yes, but she misses home very much. Now, she is getting good money, and her family visits from time to time, so everything is good. Like her old man always says, “if one door closes, another will open.” And so it did
