THE MINOR DETAILS.
WHY NOT EXPLORE OUR WORLD AND SEE ITS DEPTHS.
WHY NOT EXPLORE OUR WORLD AND SEE ITS DEPTHS.
ENTER FIRST NAME'S DISLIKES :
- Prudent People. Though, having wholesome values, being pure, and all that he guess is a personal choice, he finds people who take this to a level of extreme a bit tacky. Just as much as those who are way to open with their bodies, it just isn't appealing. He would say that a part of him likes certain people like this just for the reason that the whole virgin bit is kind of cute in some boys, but there is a difference between deeply prudent and virginal.
- Slackers. You can't very easily get somewhere without applying yourself. And, people who seem to be stuck in a boring routine way of life are just that, boring. What good can really come of laziness and being a sloth? If your life goal is to fail at everything for lack of not attempting, all the power to you, but bringing it around people with similar views as Rylan isn't highly recommended.
- The Elderly. Though, it's not a true dislike, it's just a low tolerance for older people. Rylan himself has quite a large fear of growing old. Losing wit, skill, and his ability to dance. Something about decaying away just isn't that great sounding, either. If he could stay forever in his young adult ages, it would be more then tempting. He guesses all good things must come to an end, but that hopefully isn't a real worry for a long while.
- Religion. So much energy, time, and money is put into debates and revalries over different religous views. If everyone could get along with different views religion might not be such a big bother, but it just seems to get in the way of potentially good things. Overly religious people are certainly welcome into his life, but not if troubles over his religion, or more of a lack of one would come up.
- Sharks. Growing up, Rylan never really swam in large bodies of water, for a reason. He has quite a large fear of certain fish and sharks. He knows that they aren't as vicious as some people set them up to be, but he still wouldn't trust them alone in the water. Swimming is something he is a fan of, but not anywhere with large creatures swimming with him. In his opinion, they are actually fascinating and kind of beautiful, his dislike is just simply media filled, from hearing about shark attacks too watching Jaws. Fish don't frighten him as much, but still aren't as high up on his list of things to be around, other then small beta and goldfish he has kept as pets.
- Ridiculous Names. He can accept the eccentric and the odd, but certain things with names just bother him. It's really situational, but names that seem to come out of the blue and have no real reasoning for it, just seem pointless and like you think your child needed a lot of help getting attention. Though, the kind they would get with certain names probably wasn't the aim there. His name means ' land where rye is grown ' , but at least it is an actual name. Unreasonable names would be those along the lines of Sunbeam or Starshine, things with no meaning or origin.
- Tackiness. There needs to be some sort of taste and refinement in life. Though, he can indulge in cheap comedies and occasional things of that nature, the overall selling of cheapiness and vulgarity is unappealing in most things. He likes the idea of high class, regality, and just general taste. Though he might not hold himself to such high standards, he feels like it is something that is attractive and just generally warming to him.
- Sloppy People. The general feeling of things and people being unclean is a large turn off. Everyone should hold themselves to some kind of standards. And, general hygiene and cleanliness is one of them. He isn't saying that he is exactly perfect in this mannerism or expects others to be, but to an extent this is fairly important ot him. He guess it goes with his dislike for people who do not apply themselves, because this is a manner in which people would need to do so.
ENTER FIRST NAME'S LIKES :
- Dancing. As a young child, Rylan's mother was one of those parents who would push their child into any activity, due to their lack of success or interest in them. So, it was simply the fact she was living her dreams through her son. Not having a daughter until later on in life, one of his sports that he was made to do was dancing. The most enjoyable, to him, as well. Though some might not acknowledge it as a real sport or challenge, having played football and soccer during different years, he knows that it can be just as technically challenging. From lyrical, tap, jazz, ballet, many different styles have come into the boy's life over the years.
- Animals. Though, the only pets he has ever really had were small enough to stay in cages or tanks their whole life, other then most sea animals he has a high like for animals. He doesn't have much of an urge to keep them as pets any longer, after the childhood excitement wore off and it was really just a responsibility he didn't care for, but helping out at shelter's or watching a friend's pet is something he enjoys. He feels like they have deeper souls and are more innocent then most people, whom he can't be bothered with. Large sea animals, though, soulless in his book.
- High Fashion. Despite the fact he himself might not be the most stylish person in the world, or have the most devine taste, things like high fashion are nice. It's not really a passion of his, but he can enjoy a good couture line here and there. Also, knowing about things in the fashion and general higher up world makes him feel more experienced and more refined. His parents did always have money, though the fashion scene wasn't there generally favorite place, he feels like they have taught him a bit about it.
- Baking and Cooking. It is one of the things that is used as a relaxation mechanism in Rylan's world. He personally feels all people's bodies are more of a temple, something to not force down gallons of treats and junk food into, or any food for that matter, but the act of making it is something that he enjoys over all. It isn't that he never treats himself, either, knowing very well he could excersize and dance enough to keep himself in a reasonable shape, but it's not something to over indulge in, that he knows. He would never want to lose his agility or speed due to unfortunate weight gain.
- Pornography. Even though it doesn't really go along for his dislike of vulgarity and tackiness, as many younger men do, he finds pornographic material nice. He recognizes that faults in it, and how unrealistically tacky it is, and how unrealistic it can be in other manner's, yet that doesn't really bother him all the same. The addiction that some seem to get to it was never really something that he developed, but he isn't ashamed or afraid to admit indulging in such things at times.
- Holidays. They are kind of a source of escape, really. From going to school to working and those sorts of things, life can get a bit more then tiring. So, things like Christmas vacation and Thanksgiving are nice little things to have throughout the year. Until the time he was out of high school, Rylan still found dressing up for halloween or easter egg hunt some of the funnest things that there were. Having a decent sized extended family, it really were times that people came together, too, which might explain his enjoyment.
- Smart Boys. There is nothing good about senseless people. And, in a sexual or romantical partner, he would never really want somebody with no wit to them. That seems uncharming, to be honest, and of slight concern. He has gone through phases where mindless fun isn't that awful and unappealing, but that is mostly in bed. Relationships are quite different. In a relationship, a boy like that just couldn't last. He isn't one to be broken up about character faults, but that is just one thing that isn't acceptable. He doesn't expect someone to be a genius, but keeping up with people in their respectable age range is different.
- Science and Chemistry. As a career option, he would never dream of doing anything of the like, but things of this nature are intriguing to him. He thinks that through scientific reasoning a lot of things could be explained in the world that aren't. It sounds silly, but he just believes in what some would find completely unbelievable. He feels like science is kind of like magic, but with complete reasoning.
GOALS :
- To be a professional dancer. Though, he is not going to school for something of the sort, he would love to someday make a career out of what he does. And, he is very determined to do so. He doesn't want to be somebody who settles for the next best thing when it comes to their life goals. He thinks it would be quite sad, actually.
- Dance on a well known television program. As you might be able to tell, dancing and dancing related things are high up on Rylan's list. And, to be able to dance on television would be something that he could only dream of. This meaning, something bigger then some local cable programming.
- Prove himself to his parents. The couple, being well endowed in the way of cash and social standing, Rylan is just one of their five children, really. Everybody to them is equal, which also means not all that important. Both parents share a love for their children, but not exactly in the way of a strong bond or trust of their skills. So, to show them that he is better then what they have settled on thinking would set him apart from the rest of his siblings.
- Graduate top of his class. Though, this isn't exactly the most reasonable of goals, considering the fact that he does try and does do well, but he just really isn't valedictorian material. He is well known, fairly well liked, and all of that, but none of that makes for the best grades in his whole college.
- Get married. Someday, in his future, Rylan hopes that he can get married. Being single at the moment, and having no fixed obsession with any certin person right now, he doesn't plan for it to be anytime soon. Just that it will be legal and that it will happen for him. Who really wants to be alone, after all?
FEARS :
- Losing his ability to dance or move freely.
- Being alone the rest of his life.
- Failing in anything he puts out effort for, or anything he doesn't, for that matter.
SECRETS :
- For the majority of his high school life, Rylan claimed and pretended to be highly promiscous, when the truth of the matter was that until senior year he never even saw someone naked. Nowadays, he has no troubles living up to those types of things, and doesn't really feel bad having told people lies about it. After all, it wasn't something that could really hurt someone, considering his lack of names put into the conversations.
- He still has a baby blanket around or near his bed most nights. He doesn't exactly sleep with it, but it's a source of comfort. Nobody really has been told about this, due to the lack of interest he has in sharing and childish traits of his. If people found out he wouldn't exactly be mortified, though, and still finds himself more comfortable in his skin then he could be.
WEAKNESS :
- Softball and baseball. He played as a child, but never really developed skill for the game.
- Sugary drinks and sodas, despite his love of healthy life choices.
STRENGTHS :
- Dancing, of course, as is to be expected.
- Popularity. Although he isn't exactly the highest there is, his popularity gives him a big of an advantage.
OVERALL PERSONALITY :
- Reserved. For the most part of things, Rylan isn't exactly the most out there person. He does speak his mind when he feels like it is right to do so, but he just isn't generally loud or into showing off. He isn't afraid to have a bit of an arrogant way about him, but he only takes things so far. Living your whole life being the obnoxiously overpowering person isn't something that he is interested in. That just seems kind of desperate to him, in some cases. People who really want attention are the ones who are the loudest. If your voice is already heard though, why yell it.
- Confident. Though, it might display as almost cocky or arrogant, which wouldn't be completely wrong, Rylan is sure of who he is and what he wants. He knows himself, and is sure in his body. He doesn't need to hide away and be afraid of that. He knows that his faults are there, and he acknowledges that he might need to change some of his ways, but he doesn't feel like that is needed. He is fairly happy with who he is. There is no reason to want to be someone or something he is not. And, no reason to act like it.
- Determined. There is no reason to try something just to quit it. Not having interest in something is one thing, but when he starts something that he has a passion for he doesn't understand why he would not fully apply himself to it. That is kind of counter productive, and a waste of time and energy. He isn't saying that he doesn't do bad at certain things, but not trying at all is compeltely different then not doing good at it.
- Sneaky. Sometimes in life, you can't get everything just by trying. So, there are certain ways around that. Though, he would like to think of himself as a decent person in the way of values and morals, he is not. He is a bit of a sly person, after all. He finds no harm in things like sneaking out or into bars every once and a while. Though, he might have a big of a guilty conscience about these things at times he isn't over all worried about them. He knows that he isn't nearly as bad as some people, and that in some odd way satisfies him enough to somehow justify the things he does.
- Sexual. He isn't exactly the loosest person in the world, and dislikes people who are, he does sleep around a bit and his demeanor is just kind of flirtatious and sexual. He is nineteen year old homosexual male in college, though, it is just a bit to tempting to pass up all the time. He doesn't really have time for relationships either, and flirting with people and letting them spend time in his bed aren't really too time consuming. Of course, though, he does want a relationship. After all, meaningless sex can lead into some pretty bad places over time. It just hasn't been in the cards yet.
- Gentleman. This is one of the way in which he has values. He doesn't exactly like women all that much really, but he looks down upon men and women equally. And, he knows better then to treat them like it. He will hold the door, put his coat in the puddle, all that, for a girl. Just because he doesn't want to be with them doesn't mean he doesn't think they deserve fair treatment. With certain men he isn't afraid to do gentelman like things for, either. In a relationship, he can be very romantic and sweet if it calls for it. The thing is, though, he still isn't going to hold back from being just as rude to you as he is to anyone else. There is a difference in a gentlemen and rude.
- Popular. Though, labeling him as this might not be appropriate, well known might work better. Even though the reasons for him being so well known might not be the best in some cases, he isn't exactly hated. He might not be the most likeable person, but he can hold a good conversation and he has probably bitched out someone you didn't like. Or, you, perhaps, but maybe it was justly so. He doesn't really care about having friends though, and having a fair amount of money might have something to do with it, but that doesn't matter to him either. He likes people knowing who he is. Rylan feels like he belongs in a place of being well known, it is how it should be.
- Rude. Over all, he tries to have a positive personality, but he is just the slightest bit snarky and rude by nature. He does at times feel like his above others, though that would be equally above most. And, in certain company he treats certain people highly above the rest. That's one thing he could probably stand to change that he would like to change, but it's fun, admittedly. Having people think of you as intimidating and a bit less approachable can be nice, even if it shouldn't be something he enjoys.
- Blunt. He tells it like it is, or at least, how he sees it. If you don't like people who say what they need to you really shouldn't make friends with him. This still doesn't make him exactly insanely outspoken, but when asked or if he feels it suits the conversation he will tell you how it is. Not usually to hurt someones feelings, though they can deal with that if it comes, he just says it to let people know where he stands. He thinks lying to people is all good and fine, but it's not really the way to go about things. At least, not with people you like. Secrets do not make friendships, after all.
- Hypocritical and Contradicting. A lot of what he says and does really might not make sense to some. He is a confusing person, based on the fact he has a lot going on in the way of friends and his own personality. So, saying one thing doesn't mean he will stick with it himself. He knows that he is a hypocrite, and that is fine with him. He also knows that he is more then a bit contradicting, which also doesn't matter to him. He knows who he is, he knows his personality doesn't make much sense to others, and that's fine. They don't really need to see all they layers of who he is,
SUBJECTS :
- Foreign Language - French. He is still trying to make a career out of dancing for the time being, but he has always wanted to be an interpreter or to teach other's English. So, he should know different Languages to do so.
- Mathematics. As a prerequisite, he is taking this class.

OVERALL HISTORY :
Rylan was born in Atlantic City in the middle of Novemeber, too Kristine and Elijah beverley. The middle child of the fairly newly wedded parents was always the one stuck into different activities. Of course, his siblings weren't completely left in the dark with their share of things, he was just kind of really the test kid for it. Even though it would make since for his two older brothers to be more pressured to do so, it wasn't the case. He is not complaining, though, he liked the competetion and level of ability it took to perform at many different sports. And, always wanting to impress, he would always speak up when they were asked if they wanted to do this sport or this art class. He was put in a private school at a young age, though he wasn't sure why. He always found that thing kind of a waste. He knew that he could have gotten the same education elsewhere, but he didn't bother to ask. It was his life, and that was what he knew. And, of course, his parents would have thrown a fit over how filthy public school was. People with large amounts of money seem to get the kind of complex, of being better then everyone else. Not that he hasn't adapated bits of it.
He liked how he lived he guessed, too. His parents were an architect and a director. So, he knew his fair share of people. His mother never really directed break through hits, but movies big enough to get her a fairly good net worth would come through the doors. As a child, their father was the one at home most, though. Considering filming in exotic places and shooting many scenes at a time, meant just that. Their mother practically lived on a plane. Despite the time to pop out child after child and pressure them in all that they did, she just really wasnt there. Rylan's father wasn't exactly the best either, rumors of him not being the most faithful husband popping up in his kid's childhoods. That didn't matter, though. Even though he probably wasn't, in all honesty, any of them would have begged to differ.
They all loved their parents, despite their flaws. And, being a well recognized family, they had to stick up for each other. Rylie consumed his life in dance, after all. So, he had no time for rumors or to be bothered with his lack of parental guidance. They had set up a kind of studio for him in their home, mirrors around the walls, beams, the whole nine yards. So, rather then to eat and sleep what was his need to leave? There wasn't one, and he became consumed in that life at different times in his life. That was, when he was playing soccer or football different seasons, or trying his best not to do bad in any classes. Doing all these different things was probably what first sparked the large number of friends, as well. He was just about everywhere in the school. On sports teams, in your homeroom, in your lunch hour.
And, even as high school hit, his admissions of being gay, and lies of being overly premiscous came around, that didn't change. He became popular for a bit of another reason, but he was still popular, all the same. Which is really what always mattered. His life never really got that interesting, though. Absent parents, lies about sex, and dance.. Mix them, repeat them, toss them around however you would, that was pretty much all he had most of the time. As he got older, he lost drive for other sports, too. He became more health concious, he just danced, actually started to have sex, and stayed pretty boring.
Right now, that is mostly his life, too.

ROLE PLAY SAMPLE :
As he slowly sat the last box down, Mickey's eyes surveyed his new room. It had been forever since he had last been to this place. He remembered living a few blocks over from this part of town. It wasn't like he completely despised this part of town, he knew a certain boy who lived there. Alyxander, a very good friend. He lived somewhere around here. Well, it didn't matter, right now. The boy had probably already gone and moved away. After all, it wasn't like Mickey could expect for everyone to still be there. He had spent the last two years in Colorado on buisness with his father and mother, and had just adjusted once his father told him it was time to move back. It wasn't exactly fair, but he really couldn't complain. It was just how things went. Buisness meant what buisness meant, and the family was fairly wealthy out of this.
So, as he pulled all of the articles of clothing out of his last box, Mickey just sighed. He placed them all in little stacks in his drawers, and smiled. There were three boxes in the large yellow closet in the corner of his wood-panel covered room. He still liked it, though. This room was up at the top of the house, and had a large almost half-circle extension sticking out of the side. That meant the whole thing was just windows, and a large curved bench that was covered in all of his pillows and extra blankets. Most likely, it would end up being a place to unwind after a long day. He didn't know, but there was just something about this room. His parents hadn't a care in the world about him choosing it, either. Things surely were good, even if they were chaotic, for the time being.
Walking down the large flight of steps from his room, Mickey couldn't help but to grin at what he saw. His parents were just sitting down relaxing. They had been working hard lately, and it wasn't as though he was overly concerned about it, but he liked to believe he was a good child. And, these were the ways it showed. He did care. Even if not to a large extent, he was glad that his family was doing well, and finally were laying back and letting things be. That's how it should have been, after all. Not even speaking of the last couple days, but the last two years themselves had been a lot to handle with all that was going on.
He didn't let himself get caught up in it all, though. He just walked past both parents in their whimsical trance like states, and he continued on his way out the door. He needed a cigarette. Something he didn't commonly indulge in, because he tried his hardest to have control over these things. So, as he pulled out a single one, and grabbed his lighter, he had a stern look on his face. He had to make sure he was careful when smoking, almost punishing himself for doing it.. When, in the first place, it was supposed to be a way to unwind. After a couple of minutes, though, he decided he was perfectly fine smoking just one. So, he slowly started to get caught up in taking drags. He sat there, cross legged, on a damp wooden step to the porch, just absent-mindedly smoking. It really did suck to move back to town..
(short and awful, but it's what there is that isn't me writing something new.)
