Freude had been sitting in Starbucks for the last two hours, his table filled with scrapbooks that he had found under his bed. They belonged to Caleb - cuttings and pictures of various things he'd include in his 'perfect wedding'. Designs for venues, cakes, clothes - everything. Freude just needed to put it together, make it a reality. Easier said than done. Freude had searched through every catalogue, every website, called every number but he was no closer to getting anything together than he had been before he started.
Sighing he got up from his chair and grabbed his third coffee of the morning, wondering how Caleb was getting on - Freude had put him in charge of what happened after the wedding. No doubt a honeymoon to Disneyland was going to appear somewhere, but Freude didn't really mind. Anything to make Caleb happy - plus the trip to Florida was long overdue. He smiled and handed over his money to the cashier, warming his hands with his hot drink.
Returning back to the mound of books and papers he sighed and slumped down into his chair. He just needed a hand, someone who knew more about weddings that he did. Probably a girl, but he wasn't fussy. At that moment, a four-year-old probably would have achieved more. This is hopeless, he muttered, flicking through another one of the scrapbooks, eyes darting down to the plain silver band on his finger that had finally replaced the one Jimmy had given him for joining The Suits. He didn't even know what he was going to do about that - it was the only job he really knew how to do. He didn't have the funds to give it up, yet another thing he would have to sort out. He ran both his hands down over his face, sighing slowly before opening his laptop and starting the whole process again.
