Or at least, he feels like he is one. If his mother still lives, she’s never tried to contact him, and he’s never tried to contact her, either. Darren was abandoned in Las Vegas as a baby, and has been fighting for survival ever since, even picking his own surname. He’s had enough brushes with death to not fear it, and began dealing drugs when he was fifteen. Although he was good at it, Darren didn’t enjoy dealing drugs. Too many people didn’t pay up, and when he killed everybody who refused to pay, he found his client base diminished somewhat. When he turned seventeen, Darren became a freelance hit man. He always got the money before doing the job and made quite a name for himself in the underworld. Guilt was never an issue for Darren. He didn’t ask many questions that pertained to the client, simply because he didn’t care. If someone wanted a person dead, and was willing to pay, that person was dead. End of story. More recently, Darren has been hearing stories of an underground group of assassins called The Suits, run by a man named Jimmy Noir. Although Darren has worked solo all his life, he’s heard interesting stories about Jimmy that would give him a run for his money, and is naturally curious. Darren intends to find Jimmy, and join the suits, even if just to see what all the fuss is about. RIKKI |
