FAMILY: Shay Sharping (mother). Peter Sharping (father). Joshua (brother). Charlie Sharping (nephew). HISTORY: Shay gave birth to Jonathan in Vietnam 25 years ago in their ratty home. It wasn't until 3 years later, that she and her husband, Peter packed their things and headed for the Great United States. They ended up in the coast of California and quickly moved again to Vegas to find work. Peter and Shay started their own chain of Dim Sum restaurants around the Las Vegas area, and opened up more and more locations until they earned their own small fortune. With wise stock decisions, the Sharping family were better off than most people by the time Jonathan was 12 years old. In his high school years, Jonathan was often bullied by his father to make straight A's and nothing else. Having a steady girlfriend in all 4 years of high school always made this difficult. So, needless to say, the only social life Jonathan had was his girlfriend. His college years were much better, being at least a state away from his parents as he went to the California Chef Academy. When opening his own restaurant was impossible in Los Angeles, he moved back to Las Vegas to be with his long time girlfriend, Angela. They were together for one year when Anthony finally popped the question. Angela immediately left the day after he had asked and Jonathan never saw her again. He hopes that one day she'll come running back. Jonathan swore from then on that he'd move on, but he never quite did. He's replaced Angela with hook-ups and short failed relationships since then. His parents were obviously disappointed in him for not being a good enough husbandly figure. Kick him while he's down, why don't ya? Jon got his lazy ass off of his couch 6 months after the break up and applied for a teaching job at Winchester Community College.
