i've grown tired of the same old story, i'm ready for a change.
After exams had passed and school had slowed down, Vikki found comfort in doing her work again. She loved designing clothes, she knew it was her calling from a young age. As she stood in the textile room, she looked over the several fabrics of all different types for her next project. What would she like, Vikki thought to herself as she ran her fingers along a navy blue dress.
It was weird how it came about, two weeks ago Lacey and Lyric were like the plastics. Always doing everything together and attached at the hip. Truthfully it made Vikki sick but she always ignored it and was civil with them. Hell officially froze over, though. When they were told to pick partners Lyric and Lacey didn't stare at eachother with that ugly smirk they always had. They didn't even flinch, and Vikki found Lyric walking over to her. Why? Lord knows. Maybe she felt like they had a connection of some sorts because Jimmy was paying both of their ways through college and then some. Nonetheless, the girl knew what she was doing and Vikki wanted a good grade, so she agreed.
What did Lyric like, though? That was the question. From what she'd seen, they had fairly similar taste except when Vikki liked to go vintage on everyone on occasion. The blue silk had really caught her eye, maybe she'd suggest it to Lyric for her. Shaking her head, she kept looking through the textiles.
Hearing the door creak open, she knew it would be Lyric, but just to be sure she turned around to look at the girl. If she'd known better she'd be jealous of the girl's looks, but her reputation had been ruined when she broke that golden couple up or whatever. Vikki tended to stay away from the drama so she didn't know much about it, just that it happened.
"Hey, glad you could make it," she said, trying to be civil. This was a bit awkward but who knows what was going to happen. After all, Vikki needed more friends and who knows, maybe Lyric wasn't all as bad as people made her out to be. It woudn't be the first time people had done that, she was a perfect example of that.
