FAMILY: Lisa Monroe Farley -- Ashley Jane Farley HISTORY: Alicia's upbringing wasn't the best, but it was better than what some people would expect from the situation she had been put in. Her mother was always the kind of woman to never bring the same man home twice, so when she had been told she was pregnant with twins her life, as she knew it, was over. Now instead of only focusing on herself and her needs, she had two little girls to take care of too. This was when she had decided she needed to start "settling down" so the girls would have a father figure in their lives. Alicia and her sister Ashley had been raised fairly normally, and naively. Their dad was always changing his face but he always seemed to act the same, so they never thought anything of it until they had started going to school. The kids would tease them about their "daddies" and the girls didn't understand. All of their questions were slowly getting answers as they got older and older. When Ally turned 12 that's when everything began to dramatically change. The most recent boyfriend her mom had brought into their home was Brad, and when he came into the house their family fell apart. Her mom started doing cocaine with Brad and things were getting out of control. In between her mother's "crashes," Brad would pay special attenion to Ashley and their mother would be so far lost in unconciousness that she wouldn't even hear her screams. Ashley wouldn't tell anyone, but even Ally. But one day Ally came home early from water polo practice and found Brad on top of her sister. That was when she decided to take matters into her own hands and she tried to pull Brad off of her and everything went black. Hours later she woke up to a splitting headache, an aching inbetween her legs and her mother sobbing. Brad had taken everything, and left them with a broken home. Eventually the authorities found Brad and took everything back, also suing him for what he had done to not only Ally and Ashley but to their mother as well. That was when a ray of sunshine came through and offered them a brighter future. Brad parents were surprisingly loaded with cash, and ended up paying them off so the lawsuit was dropped. Ally and Ashley didn't understand this but all they knew whas that they'd be moving from San Francisco to San Diego to get far, far away from Brad. In San Diego things had been looking up, but once again their mom found a boyfriend from the wrong side of tracks. This one didn't rape either sister, but he was very, very aggresive. Not only with them but with their mom. His last night with them Ashley had found him choking her mom with a telephone cord as she tried to call 911. When Ashley screamed for help and went after him, he retaliated and she flew back from the impact. Ally managed to sneak out of the house and run to the neighbors and they called the police. After taking her family to the hospital to get everyone cleaned up, they again packed everything up and moved again. This time to Arizona. Ally had been sick of all of the men in her life, she had sworn them off for good in San Diego. She had no intentions of ever being romantically involved with anyone until she met Bianca and fell in love. They stayed in a relationship together in secret for the three years that they had lived in Arizona. Bianca grew out of her curiousity and left Ally to be with a man named Thomas, this crushed Ally and she fell into a deep depression. No one in her family knew why until one night Ally finally confessed to Ashley who she was, a lesbian. The next morning her mother was acting different, being very short with her and trying her hardest to avoid eye contact. Ally didn't think anything of it until her mom had sat her down later that day. "I've put a lot of thought into this Ally, and I'm sorry I have to say this, but I can't have a fag living under my roof," were the last words Ally had ever heard her mother say. So here she was, at the age of 20, packing up her things and dropping out of college. She didn't know what she was going to do or where she was going to go, but then she found herself driving towards Sin City, since apparently her whole life had been a sin. Now she's living in one of the dorms at Winchester Community College and ready to start over, ready to make new friends and begin her life. MY NAME IS ALIEN. |
