Danielle Vierday woke up craving chocolate, and that meant she would be in the kitchen all day, slaving away for the perfect brownie recipe, and in the process, sampling the batter continuously. She hadn't found the perfect combination yet, between marijuana and the other brownie ingredients, but she knew she was close. She rolled out of bed, wearing nothing but an oversized tee shirt with the Disneyland logo on the front, and headed toward the kitchen. She had eggs, chocolate, and everything else she needed, except the weed. The night before had been particularly strenuous on her, and she had taken it upon herself to smoke the few remaining bowls from her last dub.
"Shit," Danny swore as she reached across the counter for her phone. She tapped the speed dial button programed for her new dealer, and placed it to her ear. The man on the other end picked up after a few rings. She explained her situation quickly and agreed to meet him at his place. It was a nice walk, one she didn't mind. She slipped into some clean clothes and located her blue Tom's.
Another thought crossed her mind, as she pulled her hair off her neck and into a ponytail. Maybe she could convince someone to come over and give her their company. Ryan was always fun to be around, and he wouldn't mind helping her lick the batter off the spatulas. She picked the battered cell phone off the table and dialed his number. Ring. Ring. Ri-"You have reach-" Danielle hung up the phone and tossed it back on the table, before quickly scooping it back up again, hastily dialing. If Ryan was too busy, she knew someone who almost never passed up an opportunity to come over.
"Hey, Simon? You wanna help me do some baking today?" she asked, grinning when she realized she had woken the lazy boy. "I gotta run and get some stuff, but I promise I'll make it worth your while," She added, in a sing-song voice. "I'll let you wake up and get rid of whatever girl is in your bed, then head over, 'kay?"

Simon had been putting off getting up for a few hours now. He'd woken up several times, but the light from the window would hit him right in the eyes and he'd groan and fall back against his pillow the blonde next to him only ever stirring slightly. He was trying to lay as far away from her as possible, lest she try and snuggle up.
He was fine with letting her sleep here, but he wanted nothing to do with any cuddling.
At one point his phone began to vibrate. It was on the other side of the bed. He decided to ignore it. It kept up for quite a bit.
"Simon.... Simon, you're phone. Someone's calling you." The girl next to him said sleepily kind of tossing it at his chest. Grunting darkly, he sat up and hit the button to answer it.
"Hmm-yes?" He said groggily, recognizing the voice on the other end immediately. Rubbing at his eyes slightly and smoothing out his hair he smirked slightly as Danielle spoke. Stifling a yawn with the back of his hand, he nodded, even though Danielle couldn't see him doing it. "Alright, yeah. I'll be over in thirty." He estimated, saying a short goodbye as he hung up and turned to wake the blondie up.
Once he'd gotten her moving, he stepped into his bathroom trying to shower off enough to get the scent of her perfume off of him. By the time he got back out he was glad to see the girl had left and he pulled on a button-up and jeans, still yawning slightly.
Glancing down at his wrist-watch as he went out to his car he realized thirty minutes has come and gone. "Okay, be there in fourty...same thing..." He shrugged off, sliding into the driver's seat of his car and heading towards Danny's place. He realized as his stomach growled at a red light, that he hadn't had anything for breakfast. He'd just have to eat all the batter...or the left overs anyway.
"Okay, fifty minutes then." He said as he looked at his watch again and then knocked on the door. Danny wasn't the impatient type anyway; she probably hadn't even paid attention to the time as she'd been waiting.

Hanging up with Simon, the brunette glanced at her reflection in the mirror for the first time that morning. It seemed that Danny had forgotten laundry day, again. Her favorite pants were buried under a pile of dirty clothes, and she had been too lazy to dig them out. She settled for a pair of earthy green shorts and a thin white v-neck. The smart thing to do would have been to find a white bra. Danny, of course, grabbed the first one she could find; which happened to be a zebra-print push up. Not only was it fully visible, but she also had cleavage her flat chest normally did not produce. Fantastic, she thought with a grin. Maybe I can get a discount.
She stepped outside, and jogged to the nearest ATM (outside the 7-11), slid her card and took the multiple twenties that fell out the bottom. She was planning on buying enough to smoke and use for her baking. Her dealer had joked that he would need to cut her off soon, if she kept buying such large quantities like she had been lately. She had giggled, but stopped when he began a lecture on how she had better have the money for it this time. There were only so many times he would exchange 'favors' for weed. Simon had said he'd be over in half an hour, which meant she had to try and skip the sweet talking and get home quicker, so he wouldn't be waiting on her front step. Even if he had to, it wouldn't be too much of a sacrifice, since she was paying for his morning and most of the afternoon high.
The trade for the marijuana for her crisp twenties done, and a ziplock bag stashed in her backpack, Danny headed back to her place. Simon wasn't waiting, thankfully, and Danny took advantage of the remaining few moments she had to herself to pack her blue-green swirly pipe, light it, and bring it to her lips.
She wasn't sure how much time passed, it could have easily been an hour, or just ten minutes, but a knock brought her to back to earth. She set down her pipe and sashayed to the door. "Oh Simon, comeincomein!" Danny ushered him into the living room and shut the door.
"Are you ready to help me?" She asked, smiling widely, and pulling him toward the kitchen. "We. Are going to have...somuchfun!" She giggled quickly and began setting out the ingredients. "Did you eat yet? 'Cause I'm already starving." Not many people could grasp how such a little girl could eat so much, and frankly, neither could she.

Simon's smirk grew on his face immediately as Danny opened the door, following her into her living room and folding his arms across his chest, looking around the familiar place. The smell was even more familiar, and he took it in for a long second, glancing over to Danny as she started to tell him how much fun they were going to have. Grinning lightly, he cocked his head to the side as she pulled him into the kitchen.
Leaning against the counter, he watched her pull the ingredients out, messing with each of them in turn, trying to figure out what some of them even were. He wasn't much of a baker, so he wasn't really familiar with how any of these ingredient would go together.
Putting a little chocolate syrup on his finger, he shook his head as he licked it off. "No, haven't eaten yet, so I'm expecting to have any of the leftover batter." He nodded, glancing over everything again.
"So, what first? Basting? Basting's a thing right?" He asked slowly, clapping his hands together as if to prepare himself for her directions. He was probably going to end mixing all the stuff together in a bowl. He was good at that.

[She swatted at him as the boy dipped his finger in the chocolate. Just what she wanted, a hungry man in her kitchen. He had better be ready to help, she thought, smiling at the image of Simon...working? She couldn't work him too hard, no, he'd die of exhaustion before exerting any real effort.
"Only if you're good," She said to him, with twinkling eyes and a grin that never seemed to fade. She bustled about, pulling out containers with powers, syrups, and other kinds of essentials for baking, when Simon asked her something.
Danny glanced over at the dark-haired boy and smiled. Basting? She rested a hand in his shoulder and spoke softly to him, teasingly. "Simon, basting is for turkeys and other...things like that, we won't be using a baster." Shaking her head, she handed him a plastic bowl, and a bag of flour. "Measure out four cups, and I'll start the butter," She pointed to the measuring cups, and then turned her back to begin melting butter, and adding in the ingredient that would add an edge to her baking.
Oh, that sweet, sweet Mary jane.
