"Blaine, you're going to be a daddy!...no that's too happy. You have to act business-like. Okay....Blaine, I'm pregnant. Hm, maybe...Blaine, I'm having a baby. That's it, that's what I'll say." the flustered brunette rambled as she stood in front of the bathroom mirror, hands gripping at the counter of the sink to steady her shaking hands. She had just signed off of the school chat after a chilling conversation with her boyfriend. Well, ex-boyfriend. In a normal situation, Farren would avoid Blaine at all cost, however there was something else involved; Actually, there was SOMEONE else involved.
Farren had missed her period, and being the paranoid woman she is, bought a pregnancy test, and when she saw the two little pink lines, she knew she couldn't just drop out of Blaine's life, and he certainly couldn't drop out of hers. Sighing heavily, Farren stared at herself in the mirror, her mind drifting into a daydream, picturing herself with a large belly and her boyfriend beside her, both smiling. A smile crept on her face, but it soon faded when reality came back into play. This was going to be difficult. It wasn't like they were married. She couldn't expect him to stay around to support their child. Would he even care? From what she'd heard, he hadn't even acted like he had any problems leaving her for Lyric. Why would a baby change that?
A tear fell down her cheek as she felt the pain in her chest from the thought, but she quickly wiped it away. Her cheeks were tearstained from earlier. Her eyes were puffy, and she looked like she hadn't slept in days. In fact, she hadn't. She had been so stressed lately, she tended to stay awake, and you could definitely see it. He couldn't see her like this. She had to do something. She had planned on giving him a good speech about how she felt, and she had to look good doing it. For weeks, she'd dreamed of him seeing her, wishing he hadn't let her go. Of course, that was a tall order. His girlfriend was gorgeous, and she could hardly compete, but it was worth a try. Slipping out of her sweats and tshirt and sliding into a pair of jeans and a nice blouse, she finished the look off with some cover up under her eyes, a bit of blush, mascara, and a nice pink shade of lipgloss. She still looked restless, but it was better than before. Just as she finished, she heard the familiar knock at the door and jumped slightly. The time had come.
She was so nervous, she could barely open her mouth to utter "coming!" before slowly making her way to the door. Twisting the knob, she pulled open the door to see the face of her ex standing in front of her. After a moment of looking at him, she held the door open for him to walk in. "You can go sit down if you'd like." she whispered, staring at her feet as she waited for him to enter.

Things had finally all came out of the closet for Blaine. He was with Lyric now, and it felt like a breath of fresh air to him. Farren wasn't helping out much, but she wasn't supposed to. She was right. He was a dick for fucking someone else, but shit happens. Blaine did feel guilty, like he'd done Farren dirty, and he did. No one expected those words to come from a cheater. They expected cheaters to usually blame it on something else, well Blaine didn't. He was a man and he was going to own his shit like a man.
Earlier that night Blaine had sat up arguing on the schools chat with Farren. He wasn't really sure what they were arguing about since he knew she was right. He was just tired of hearing it was all. Though at the end of the conversation, Farren had mentioned that she needed to talk to him. Blaine knew it was important because what woman would want to talk to her cheating ex boyfriend for nothing? Surely not to beg him back. Hell no. So, he promised he was on his way right then, gave Lyric a few kisses before heading out the door.
Arriving only made Blaine more paranoid. Questions and what if's ran through his head and his heart raced. What if someone was dead? What if she had cancer? Clearing his throat he pushed all questions aside and knocked on the door to be then greeted by Farren. She looked beautiful to him. It made him have a little flash back and a tiny little bit of spark light up in his heart. That aching feeling.
Blaine gave an awkward crooked smile and stepped inside closing the door behind him and made his way towards the couch. So many memories, he thought as he sat down and glanced over the room. It wasn't the same anymore though.
"What do you need to tell me?"

Farren's stomach wouldn't stop doing somersaults as she looked at him. That half smirk he gave, though awkward, made her melt just like it always had before their rough times, and she had to push the feelings away quickly before she broke down. She couldn't let him see how close she was to breaking. In a perfect world, se would have told him she could change. She would have told him that she would try to be everything he wanted her To be, but she knew she could not do that, for he was with someone else. He was happy. And she couldn't ruin that for him twice, the first time being when they were together.
Closing the door quietly, the brunette softly tiptoed over to the opposite chair, easing into it and avoiding her ex's eyes. Now that the moment had come, Farren was drawing a blank as to how she would come out and say it, even though she had practiced it so many times in the mirror. All he could think about was the giant lump in her throat fighting it's way to come up as she rose her eyes to look into his. He looked worried. Did he already know? No, surely not. No one knew. She was only a couple of weeks or maybe a month along. She wasn't showing. What was he thinking?
Taking a deep breath, she opened her mouth and gave a sigh, trying to stall so she could think of the right words to say. Even when they dated, he hadn't mentioned wanting any children. How would he feel when she told him he was going to be a father? Standing up, Farren began pacing the floor, hands on her hips as she went back and forth before finally stopping in front of him. "Do you remember that night when we had that big fight and you said you thought our sex life was getting boring, so you got off work early and we tried to bring it back to the way it was before?" she said, almost at a whisper. The words were hard to speak. Looking at him for a moment, she then continued. "I think the condom must have broke. Because...I was late. And, I took a test to see, and...Well, um...It was positive." she finished. She was scared of what he'd say. This was a big deal. There was no way she could support a child on her own. She could barely keep up with her puppy. Plus, her job was hardly anything special. Bills were already steep enough. Wiping a tear from her eye, she snuck a glance at Blaine. Please don't freak out.

Blaine's eyes followed Farren's everywhere she moved. Couldn't she tell he was having a heart attack right now? Just spit it out already. Blaine thought not noticing how he'd inch off the seat of the couch every minute that had gone by. You're freaking me the fuck out Farren, so if you could just...say it, that'd be great." He spat out quickly as she paced in front of him.
Blaine could feel his heart beating out of his chest and could hear his blood pumping as Farren tried to explain. He already knew what she was going to say, but still stared up at her blankly as if he didn't know, but really it was just out of shock. A..baby. He thought, finally blinking and leaning back into the couch, his hands covering his face. How could this happen? Why didn't it happen when they were together? Blaine was almost positive that he was unhappy about this.
That was until he started picturing it. His baby. Their baby. Images of holding a tiny infant in his arms, or going to some store to buy a baby bed. The smile started out tiny on his lips and then grew behind his hands before letting them drop and looking up at Farren with big happy eyes. "You better not be lying..." He said calmly at first.
After she assured him she wasn't, Blaine jumped from his seat and wraps his arms around Farren picking her up and spinning around. "I'm going to be a dad!" He screamed as he threw his hands up into the air. Then he came to a realization that Farren was probably most not happy about it considering the situation.
Dropping his arms, he took Farren's hands into his own and looked down into her eyes. She needed to understand how serious he was. "Look, Fare. I know...I know you're not so happy about it, but-but I am. I mean...I still love you, you can chose to believe it or not, but I do. And well, I'm so happy that I get to share this with at least you, because out of everyone spite everything that has happened. I trust you.."

The pain in her chest had finally eased as she told him the news, not feeling so guilty about not telling him right away like she had hoped to do. However, it seemed like there was no time to tell him any more. After all, he followed his new girlfriend around everywhere, and from what Lacey, her best friend, said, they were always away from home together, clubbing and whatnot. Something Farren had never truly taken an interest to. That was another reason he'd left her, she was positive. At that moment, as she thought about this, she realized it wasn't improtant. They had bigger things to discuss, which was a first because the break up was practically the only thing she wanted to talk about for the past few weeks.
Looking toward Blaine's face to see his reaction, she couldn't help but feel utterly confused. At first, he looked upset. Well, she couldn't blame him. Who wouldn't be upset if they found out they weren't going to be able to cut off all ties with their ex just yet? Then, though, she saw a smile. Furrowing her eyebrows at the sudden change in emotion, Farren just watched him stand up and move to her. As she was lifted off the ground by him, she let out a light scream with the words "Blaine Carter, what are you...? Put me down!" She was caught off gaurd, and it was NOT the time to pull such a stunt, but in that moment, she giggled. It had been a while since she had, and the giggle stopped just as quickly as it came. He wasn't supposed to make her laugh. She wasn't supposed to be happy about this.
Composing herself, she willingly let Blaine take her hands in his, looking up into his excited eyes as he spoke. The words made chills run down her spine, but she pushed the sudden feelings away. He was only trying to get on her good side again, and he knew exactly how to do it. Cursing him in her mind, she waited a moment to think of the right words to say without breaking down and going off. He might have trusted her, but she didn't trust him. She had a right not to, did she not? Biting her lower lip, she looked down at their hands and slowly broke free from his grasp. "I...can't believe you right now...and I'm not even sure if I trust you. But, let me tell you something, alright?" looking down at her then-flat stomach, she continued, "I'm really mad at you, Blaine. So mad, that I can't even explain it, but...you're giving me the biggest wish any girl could ever ask for. And it's right here inside of me. So, thank you. But, I can't sit here and tell you that we can get back on friendly terms. Because, unlike you, I can't just move on. I just want you to know that though I love you for everything...this doesn't mean we're cool. So, don't hug me. Don't tell me you love me, because it honestly hurts, alright?" She was shaking with anger as she looked back up to him, eyes sullen, a frown placed on her mouth. Everything she had wanted to say had been said. "But, it's your kid just as much as it is mine, and we can discuss how we're going to go about all of this." It was so hard for her not to get down on her knees and beg him to just be with her, but she fought the urge and locked it up inside.

How could she do this? How could she just ruin this moment for him? Didn't she get that most guys would just leave without even looking at her and thinking twice about it? Shaking his head, Blaine looked into her eyes after everything she'd just said. He was angry. He didn't understand why for just one night, she couldn't be happy with him.
"Whatever, Farren. I don't know what I was thinking, when I thought that you'd actually be happy with me about this." He didn't yell, or stress his voice. He was just sick of it all. Sick of hearing 'you did this.' He was the one who did it, he knew what the hell he did. He for damn sure didn't need four hundred people telling him what he did.
For a moment, they just stood there. Blaine didn't look at her. Why would he look at her? He was mad at her too, maybe not as mad as she was at him, but he was mad. The tension was getting to heavy though and that's when Blaine drew a deep breath in and pulled out the pack of cigarettes from his back pocket. He'd have to cut down on the smoking if he was going to be around his baby. That'd be hard, but it'd be worth it.
Stepping out onto the balcony, Blaine left the door open and leaned over the railing over looking the cars below and then looking up at the star filled sky. It was calming. Standing in the dark, smoking a cigarette and thinking about the times to come with his child. "I want to be fully involved. Doctor appointments. Picking out baby stuff...the whole nine yards." Blaine took another drag in, letting the smoke settle into his lungs and then exhaled. "But I'm not ashamed of our baby. So I want people to know.."
