She was the youngest of the two children. Her brother Marshall was her hero and she always looked up to him. Her father was a Web Designer and her mom was a Choir teacher. Her brother was five when she was born and quite the little athlete. He played basketball and baseball and then spent the summers playing with his friends outside. Skylar on the other hand liked dance and singing. When she was ten she took a dance class and met a kid named Larz. They hit it off and soon were the best of friends. The years went on and soon Skylar was in middle school. For her birthday her dad got her a camera. She fell in love with taking pictures and by the time she was ready to go into high school she knew what she wanted to do…She wanted to be a photographer. High school also revealed her feelings about Larz. They stared dating at the beginning of there freshmen year and were the cutest couple. When she was a sophomore she started being a little more intimate with Larz. They started having sex and that one night when they tried to have sex without a condom and the next thing she knew she was pregnant. At first her parents were furious but soon they came around. Larz agreed he would do anything he could to help take care of her and the baby. Even though life seemed like it was going to end…She knew everything would be okay. As long as she had Larz everything would be okay. As school went on Skylar went on with the pregnancy. She had her baby and things were actually gonna be okay. She got a job as did Larz and then she found out about her brother. Her brother was gay. He came and told her and she knew when she looked him in his eyes that he didn’t want their parents to find out. He knew they wouldn’t approve at all. She agreed not to tell them. When he graduated high school he moved away so he could be with his boyfriend and his parents wouldn’t know. Senior year came along and that was when things became real. Larz needed to do something to make more money. He had gotten a job working for Microsoft as a database designer and had to leave. He promised he would send money home and Skylar believed him. And he did…For a while. Her parents paid for college and it seemed like things were going to be okay. Then he stopped. She stopped hearing from him and then she got the letter.
