The directions to the skate park were scrawled down on a scrap piece of paper Tico had "accidentally" torn off of the corner of some sort of notes Percy had had laying around. It was the first thing in sight when Kenny had called to see if Tico might make it to this rap battle going down.
Well, he didn't want to go rushing around for a clean piece of paper and risk sounding too excited. So, Percy's notes paid a small price to get Tico where he needed to go to see his boy Kenny. His boy. Shit, Tico, you want to try and get a bit gayer?. He adjusted his cap on his head as if releasing some of the more uncomfortable thoughts from his head. Hopefully they'd go out the window once he got to that skate park at least.
His little chevy camaro chugged along towards the stop light across the corner from where this rap battle was to be held, and the nerves in Tico's chest were tightening unwelcomely.
"Da fuck, bruh. Get your shit together." He muttered at his rear-view, staring back at himself.
Parking in the gravel lot near the skate park, he slid out of the small car, and slid his hands immediately into his jean pockets. At least Tobi would be there too, mellowing the both of them out even more than was usual. This'd be the first time he actually saw the two in action. Up until now, he'd only heard about these battles they dominated. He was pretty psyched to see it for himself. He decided that would be the feeling he focused on for now.
Of course, that went out of his head the moment he saw Kenny on that little make-shift stage spitting these incredible rhymes. It was all he could do not to take off his cap and fan himself. The rest of the battle he spent bouncing on the balls of his feet, just ready to go congratulate the rapper on a dope performance.
He pushed through some of the crowd even before the last guy finished up his verse, eyes searching out Tobi. Because where Tobi would be, Kenny would be too.
Smiling a bit to himself as he spotted the upturned snap-back, he made his way up to the two.
"Yo, Tobi. Kenny, bruh." He called at them as he approached. "That shit was too real." He told the two, honestly impressed, secretly growing fonder of Kenny than he'd even been before.
