HISTORY: Jack was born in Jefferson, Pennsylvania to Diane and Martin Parker. They were you average middle class American family- cute little picnics on weekends, outings to the movies and roller-rink. Jack was a happy, polite, loved little boy and that's how he expected it to stay. It was after his little sister June came unexpectedly that money started to get tight and tensions in the house-hold started to run high. Jack didn't really understand. He loved having a little sister to play with, even if it meant with stupid old barbie dolls. His parents continued to grow more and more distant, though. And one day it just all exploded. It was a normal day, one would think. But Martin Parker came home from work and announced to his wife he was seeing another woman and that's when things cracked. Jack was 9 at the time and barely knew that other women besides his mother existed. So, the fact that his father had gone out and found another mommy was absolutely the end of the world. It didn't take long for the divorce to come through and Diane to move herself- pregnant with Marcella- and the kids back to her hometown of San Diego. Jack didn't like San Diego much. It was hot, and dry and it smelled like salt-water. He also hated not knowing anyone at his school. All the anger at his father and the move across the country turned into something much colder and more violent. For the first time in his life, he was being called down to the principal’s office for fighting and talking back to teachers, and for some reason, something inside him couldn’t stop it. Something made him want to punish other people for what happened to him. He barely clipped by his second junior year in high school, and practically had to give up his social life to pass senior year. But somehow he made it and said goodbye to San Diego to head for Las Vegas. Winchester seemed like just the place for him, and with a football scholarship to boot. The school board held a meeting before hid admittance, though. Promising Jack that if his behavior got out of control- as it had so often in high school- he would be kicked out. Not only will he have to work on his attitude, but his grades as well. And on top of this, he'll have a steady job to pay for everything his mother can't. So, he only hopes Las Vegas is worth it. elle. |
