Anthony was one of those people who really like to walk along the beach. It was to be expected when you grew up on California. But when there was no beach to walk along, what were you supposed to do? The park was the next best thing. The air was still fresh .. maybe not as fresh as the beach but it did just fine and the screnerary was maybe nicer to look at as he walked. So there were no classes today, just a day off. Probably should have been studying for up coming exams or whatever but really he didn't care. Italian was easy cause he already spoke it. He just took the class for an easy A so his gpa would look .. better so to speak.
He was sporting a 1930's gangster look today. Black suspenders hooked to his black pants. And a black button up shirt that was tucked in but left unbuttoned a few buttons at the top and no tie. In his opinion he made anything look good. But that was just him. A hat to cover his blond hair finished everything. He reached into his shirt pocked and pulled out his somewhat crushed pack of cigarettes. There weren't a ton left in there .. he'd thought he had more. He shrugged some and pulled one out and stuck it between his lips. Then proceeded to light it. Then he continued to walk.

[/style] [atrb=border,0,true] It was official – Adrienne loved Vegas. She had been crazy busy, what with all her classes and partying. And partying with Cam. But she loved it. Sure, she’d partied plenty back in Oklahoma, but it wasn’t like Vegas, where people more or less expected you to party. It was new. Back home, parties were few and far between, and there wasn’t a decent nightclub for miles around. So what if she drank a little too much? And what if she was a little promiscuous? Wasn’t college the time to experiment, anyway? The best part was that her mother was away in Oklahoma, and the only family member that was close was her Aunt, Bianca. Aunt Bianca taught creative writing, but that was okay, because she liked to party, too. All was well.
Well, all was well now that the hangover Adrienne had gotten after yet another night out with Cam had passed. She was pretty sure that if she stayed in that room her liver was going to take a beating. But since Adrienne liked Cam and had no intention of moving out, that was something her liver was going to have to learn to live with.
Adrienne was walking down the length of the beach with a dreamy smile on her face. She figured she should probably get in some fresh air in between classes and partying at Mercy. And besides, it was a nice day. What she hadn’t factored in was the possibility that someone else might be there, and Adrienne was clumsy with an awful sense of direction and horrible co-ordination skills. So, of course if someone was there to run into, she was going to run into them.
Which was exactly what happened. “Shit.” Adrienne muttered at the collision. “I’m so sorry. I’m so clumsy!” [/div]

Anthony had stopped walking to look around at things. He'd never really stopped to enjoy the scenery. He took the cigarette out of his mouth and blew out the smoke just looking up and off into the distance. He tended to space out every now and then. He figured it was an effect of the drugs he used. It was nice being away from home. Then he didn't have to worry about his mother catching him using. Unless she was in town supervising something going on with the new restaurant. So every now and then he saw her for a week or two at a time. Other than that he was pretty much on his own to do what ever he pleased, and when he pleased to do it.
Then there was an unexpected and unwelcome impact. He stumbled a little and dropped his cigarette. His dark blue eyes found the source of impact. A red headed girl. And she was good looking. He bent down and picked up the cigarette and stuck it back in his mouth. A little dirt never hurt. He looked back to the apologizing girl. He had to admit it was nice to hear her apologize but he'd always been taught apologizing made you look weak. "Yeah you are clumsy .. But really there isn't any need to say sorry for being clumsy .. besides apologizing makes one sound weak" His eyes looked to hers.

[/style] [atrb=border,0,true] “Uh, I was more apologizing for… The impact.” Adrienne said, rubbing the back of her neck and studying the boy in front of her. He seemed a bit rough around the edges, what with the smoking and the general rudeness. An unexpected chill ran through Adrienne and she pulled her cardigan closer to her body. The scarf provided some warmth, but it was starting to get colder. The boy had a cigarette back in his mouth and was looking at her with appraising eyes. Usually, being stared at wasn’t a problem for Adrienne, but this time it was a little unsettling. “Er… I’m Adrienne.” She said, offering her hand to the boy. Maybe they could start again. Adrienne was always up for a chance to make a friend, and while the boy in front of her didn’t seem particularly welcoming, appearances were deceiving, and there was a chance he might actually be quite nice once she got to know him. Adrienne didn’t apologize again. That didn’t seem conducive to a potential friendship. She tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear and met the boy’s eyes. She hadn’t expected to meet anybody when going for a walk in the park. Most people in Vegas tended to be more “party” and less “walk in the sun”. [/div]

Anthony watched her some. She seemed nervous? Was that the right word? Maybe she just felt bad about colliding with him. Who knew. He knew she wasn't bad looking and she was still standing in front of him which meant she didn't mind the general rudeness that usually spilled over everytime he opened his mouth. His mother had always tried to break him of the bad habit. Tried to get him to be polite to people, especially women. Though his eyes couldn't help but stare at hers, they were pretty. Well he was a guy and if he didn't find them at least slightly attractive then he would be gay. And gay he was not.
He let his eyes travel down to her hand when she stuck it out towards him. He let his move to hers and shook it in an attempt to be nice. "Anthony. " What could it hurt to give the girl a chance? Who knew maybe she could prove to be a good friend. Or maybe more. He never really pushed the more, if it was gonna happen then it did. And if it didn't well that was ok too. "What brings you to the park?" A harmless question. Those were always good when trying for small talk. Which he was horrible at. Quiet guys were horrible at keeping conversation.

[/style] [atrb=border,0,true] Adrienne smiled when Anthony – apparently that was his name – Met her eyes and shook her hand. That was more like it. Maybe this was no more than a little speed bump in their relationship, and they could be friends. Adrienne may not be too good at trusting people with the more important parts of her, but there was nothing wrong with making a few friends. Like Cam. And maybe Anthony.
She shrugged at his question. “Just going for a walk.” She said. “Been a little busy recently.” She laughed, because ‘busy’ translated loosely as ‘so wasted I haven’t even managed to unpack yet’. Of course, it wasn’t all partying. It was mostly partying, but Adrienne had also been keeping up with her classes, of which there were many. “What about you?” Adrienne shamelessly checked Anthony out. He was good looking, and just because she wanted to be his friend didn’t mean that she couldn’t enjoy the view while she was doing it. Vegas was definitely treating Adrienne well. There was no shortage of attractive men and women, and the teachers were even fairly laid back, even not counting that time that her aunt had come to class wasted. Adrienne smiled and wrapped her arms around herself. “What brings you here?” [/div]

Anthony nodded some at her answer. There was definitely enough things in vegas to get lost in. He was usually lost in the night life. The partying. Though when Pixel was off he found himself partying a different way, just with her. But she did work a lot. She was good at what she did so she worked a lot. Which left Anthony with a lot of free time. He'd just been out to get some fresh air today cause his dorm was stuffy or so it seemed. Maybe it was just lonely. Some times he thought he should have asked for a roommate. But he liked the privacy or his own place.
He couldn't help but smile seeing her check him out. "Just out for some fresh air is all. Its a nice break from normal routine." Which was drinking until he passed out and getting high. Sometimes there was sex thrown in there. But he was pretty regular with the partying routine. He took another puff from his cigarette and held it in for a few seconds then let it out slowly, careful not to blow it in her face. Not everyone wanted to smoke. Well if she did smoke he didn't know soo, he'd at least try to be considerate.

[/style] [atrb=border,0,true] Adrienne stifled a laugh at Anthony’s ‘normal routine’ comment. Her normal routine consisted of partying with Cam, and occasionally some other girls. And sometimes awkwardly walking in on her aunt partying or hitting on some guy. Yeah, that pretty much made the awkward scale implode. Ick. Of course, just because Adrienne partied a lot didn’t mean that she didn’t study, too. Of course she did. It wasn’t her favourite thing in the world, but she would rather not deal with the humiliation of being kicked out of a community college in Las Vegas, thank you very much.
“Yeah.” Adrienne agreed. “The normal routine. It’s always nice to take a break.” Adrienne looked toward the sky and took a deep breath. Even though she was pretty happily immersed in the Vegas lifestyle, she had to admit that it was nice to take a deep breath and breathe in fresh air for once. The area of Vegas that Adrienne was most familiar with smelled like drugs, alcohol, smoke and sex. None of which bothered Adrienne. She wasn’t a stoner by any stretch of the imagination, but she’d tried her fair share of drugs. Smoke wasn’t a problem, because she’d been around it a lot back in Oklahoma, and now she was rooming with Cam. And, well, alcohol was alcohol and sex was sex. No major issues there. Anthony figured he was always gonna be the night life kind of guy. That's why he and his sister would be such good business partners later on in life. In their fathers business of course. He was accustomed to how the night life works and she was probably always gonna be better at doing the business end of things. So they would make a great team. He just had to finish this whole college thing to make his mother happy. He still cared about what she wanted for him. Which was to have a college education.
" And just what is normal routine for you? Don't tell me you're a study hard all the time get straight A's kind of girl" He pictured her as more the partier. Someone he'd probably see out in the clubs and stuff if he was actually looking. He might have already seen her there and not even know it. You started seeing faces out in places all the time after you've learned their name. This was a true fact. He'd probably start seeing her around all the time after this. He rarely went to people's places to party. Usually he was out at the strip bar or another night club around. There were plenty of them. He only ever went to the strip bar to see Pixel really.

[/style] [atrb=border,0,true] This time Adrienne did laugh. Her, straight A’s and studying all the time? Maybe in another life, but definitely not this one. “Hardly.” She said. “I guess you could say I’m a bit of a partier. I mean, it is Las Vegas, right?” Adrienne shrugged and smiled at Anthony. She wasn’t getting the feeling that he was a stay at home with a cup of tea type guy either. Hell, anyone who’d rather be inside studying than outside partying probably wouldn’t fit into Vegas too well. The nightlife was the main focus. At least, it was for Adrienne. And really, what else was there to do in Vegas, anyway? “I spend a lot of time partying with my roommate.” Adrienne shrugged again and gave Anthony an obvious once over. “What about you?” She asked, a smirk making its way to her lips. “What’s normal for you? Not staying home giving your grandmother a foot massage, I take it?” Adrienne wasn’t sure why that was the first example of being a homebody that popped into her head, but she had inherited her lack of a brain filter from her aunt and had a tendency to just say every single thought that came into her head. It was both a blessing and a curse. [/div]

Anthony smiled and nodded. She was right it was Vegas. Couldn't come here and be serious all the time. A lot of people came here and were hardly serious at all. Anthony was one of those people. He was only serious when people were forcing him. Which was school or his mother would flip really. But that was pretty much it. Even back home he was the laid back, easy going, have fun type of guy. Maybe it was growing up with the beach as your back yard. Though he never really considered it a bad thing. Though there was no warm sand to lay in here. Just a park to walk in. But still plenty of hot women.
He couldn't help but laugh a little when she asked about him. "Sure .. Maybe if I'd had a grandma growing up I'd be the foot rubbing stay at home kind of guy" He couldn't help but smile. "I'm the party kind of guy as well" He loved going out and drinking. Meeting girls, dancing, getting high, even sex on occasion. It was the life style he was most comfortable with. There was the ocassionaly fight as well. But he always gave as good as he got. And usually it was the other guy who started things. He could definitely handle himself in a tight spot. "You go anywhere specific when you party?"

[/style] [atrb=border,0,true] Adrienne smirked and ran her hand through her hair. You couldn’t throw a stick without hitting a good looking person in this town. She really had just wanted to go for a walk. To get some fresh air, and maybe pretend to passer’s by that she really was the ‘good girl’ her mother still thought she was. This was good, too. Anthony was not unattractive, and he was smiling at her, which Adrienne was going to go ahead and count in the ‘win’ column. Even so, it seemed a little crazy that everyone was so very attractive. Not that Adrienne was complaining.
She returned Anthony’s laugh and nodded in agreement when he confessed to being a partier. It’s not like It was unusual for young people in Vegas to hit the clubs. Like Mercy. Or Amnesia. Or occasionally the student bar, but that wasn’t as good as Mercy. The places were usually pretty packed, and definitely for the faint hearted. Or the faint livered. “I usually hit up Mercy with my roommate.” She told Anthony. “What about you, wild child? Got a favourite place yet?” Adrienne tilted her head slightly, taking in the sight of the hot boy she was talking to. [/div]

Anthony shrugged some when she asked if he had a favorite place. A good time was a good time as far as he was concerned. He enjoyed partying just about everywhere. Sure the clubs were great. But other places were just as good in his book. If there was alcohol, possibly some drugs, and definitely if women are present, then the parties are good enough for him to be there. "I hang out at Mercy a lot .. Amnesia on occasion .. I got a friend who works there" Well ok so she was more than a friend. There were totally benefits with that.
"But I like normal parties too. Every now and then I find a good one on campus and one day I plan to venture to the strip .. see what kinds of trouble I can get myself into there" He was definitely a thrill seeker. "Do you party every night?" He didn't do it all the time. Every now and then he'd actually crack open one of his text books and get his home work done. If he failed school his mother would be out to supervise him and he totally didn't want that.

[/style] [atrb=border,0,true] Adrienne nodded. “I go to Mercy quite a lot, too. She said. “Maybe I’ll see you around there some time.” She put the fact that she hadn’t noticed him before down to the fact that she wasn’t actually looking for him. If she had been, she probably would have been able to find him quickly. “Amensia’s good too.” If there was one good thing Adrienne could say about Amnesia, it was that the dancers were at least hot. Though the food could definitely use some improvement. That being said, the drinks were good and it wasn’t like anybody actually went there for the food, anyway. “The student bar, too.” She told him. “My roommate works there. She’s the DJ.” “The strip is good.” Adrienne agreed, nodding. She usually ventured to the strip during the day. Downtown was where it was as during the night. “No, not every day.” She said. “I’m taking five classes. Gotta study some time, right?” She laughed. Adrienne wished she could afford to party every night, but it would be beyond embarrassing to get kicked out of a community college in the middle of Las Vegas for academic failure. No way was she letting that go on her resume. [/div]

=

Anthony made a note to say hey to her next time he saw her out. Maybe he'd but her a drink and such. So she was taking classes. That was always good and yeah studying was a good idea too. Not that he did it much. He didn't care much about academics. He was in college to please his mother. Not that he let it show to anyone around him but he loved her. He was really close to her. But on the surface Anthony was the bad boy that everyone saw. But deep down he was bad with a good heart. Maybe one day someone would see passed his bad boy surface.
"I suppose so. But I don't study much. Even when I'm not out partying, I usually spend my time doing other things. Still do ok in classes, just have to show up really." Though he was taking some easy cheater classes. Like Italian. He was already fluent in it. His father spoke like nothing but Italian. His english was really broken so he'd learned both languages. And he could communicate with his father like he'd grown up in Italy before his father died when he was 9. "Though I suppose I cheated, I can already speak my foreign language fluently." It was an easy A and would make his GPA look good.
