Sarah hadn’t unpacked yet. She’d kind of just dropped her bags off and left. Nobody had been there, even though Sarah had asked for a double room, so she hadn’t had any reason to hang around after dropping off her bags. Besides, she was hungry and didn’t particularly feel like unpacking.
She hadn’t really wanted to explore Vegas on her own. The place was crowded, and big in Sarah’s opinion, so she elected to explore the campus instead. Logic dictated that there would be somewhere to eat. And maybe she could check out some of the lecture halls and classrooms while she was at it.
Sarah really hoped that she didn’t look too much like a tourist, wandering around the campus for the first time. She hadn’t seen any other professors yet, which was a shame because she needed friends, and the best way to make friends would be to befriend the other staff.
Sarah counted her lucky stars that it didn’t take her long to find what appeared to be the food court, because she was starving. It might have been a good idea to grab something to eat before heading off to Vegas, but apparently Sarah hadn’t thought of that. She walked through the doors of the food court and looked around nervously, surveying the area.
